@osckilo. Not quite! Julian should have stuck to the Lute and left the guitar to John Williams. There is no comparison - check them out and I think you'll agree! John Williams made this his signature piece of music and nobody, but nobody, has ever done a better version!! His best version was many years ago when he was in his prime and he recorded this with the Philadelphia Concert Orchestra under the direction of Eugene Ormandy - there has never been a better version!!

You have to remember that Julian made his name with the lute (he was the best there was) but when he decided to play the guitar he had to re-learn guitar playing because the techniques are totally different! The fact that he plays the guitar as well as he does is a testament to how much work he put into this but the MASTER is still John Williams. Nobody, but nobody, plays the guitar in the genre that he does in the way that he does!! He is now past his best but who will replace him?
