few knew gerald levert was patti's heart next to her son zuri! the last time i saw him alive in person was a couple of years ago in downtown cleveland at a patti labelle concert he was standing on the side of the stage jumping around clapping and cheering her on like he had never seen her before!!!!! Damn I just watched this again, and pure tears. Patti is awesome solo, but man when she pairs up live with the right duet partner, she is over the moon. Like her duets with Luther, Gerald, and that tribute to Smokey Robinson from Soul Train in the early 90s with Patti, Luther and Gladys.
