  • do u small game hunt with those

  • @rednck700 I don't but yes you can small game hunt with Flu Flu arrows. They are great for squirrel, rabbit and bird, any short range shots.

  • Can't stop watching this vid. I love shooting port orford flu flu's. What poundage is your bow? Great job.

  • @MidwestHunter497 That particular bow is a 45# Howatt Custom Bushmaster

  • How do you make these arrows? Just mess a little with the fletchings?

  • @Janfodne You fletch them as you would any other arrow, you just use the full, uncut feather. You can use 3,4 or 6 fletch, or some will spiral warp the feather. I buy full length uncut feathers and I can usually get two fletchings from a single full length feather.

  • awesome sound!

  • Hahaha. I laughed out of sheer joy hearing the first flu flu shot. :D

  • I like the "Flu Flu" sound. I will buy some of these arrows. Great!

  • not to sound stupid, but where can i buy these? I just started getting into archery in the last few months and dont want to make my own.

  • @Gleebryan Two of the top distributors of traditional archery equipment are 3RiversArchery and KustomKingArchery. Pot a dot com after those names and you'll get the websites. Search for Flu Flu. They run about $40 1/2 dozen.

  • Im sorry but i'd laugh my Freakin ass off if you hit the camera...you should set 2 camera's off so we can view u hiting your other camera LOL

  • is there a certain way to fletch them or do you just glue them on where you think is right?

  • @Justlivelife101 If you use 4 fletch, just glue them on like the letter X. If you use 3 fletch, glue on the first fletch 90 degrees to the string and the other two 120 degrees apart..

  • That must be how they get the "arrow sound" in movies

  • What a sound! I should try out some of those as well.

    Thanks for showing! Tim

  • That was cool

  • They really are noisy. I knew about these but not the name. Thanks for the information. You're quite the shot, too.

  • I like them , i have some carbon express six feather flu flu's ,they make a sixxling sound in flight and are great fun . Be safe and good hunting ,from Mike in Texas .

  • Never been around someone shooting Flu-flus they do sound sweet . Reminds me of the westerns with the arrows whizzing by and hitting the tree net to the cowboy.

  • Another very nice video.

Keep up the good work in 2011

    Thank you.

    WBF

  • Great Sound

  • Your Ful Flus are great !!

Good looking, nice sound and quite fast.

I think I have to make my own and give it a try.

Did you ever try a Flu Flu with one, full length feather wrapped around the shaft ?

I wonder how this would sound ?

Happy new year to you, Jim. : )

  • @wilsbow The spirial fletch are what we have at the club for club shoots. I have not shot them myself but they look really easy to make. Fasten one end, spiral warp and fasten the other end.

    Happy New Year!

  • @Woodenarrows could u possibly in any way do this with duct tape fletchings

  • @jonnboy1234567890 Duct might hold up for a few shots but....

  • Nice video. Your flu-flus are great. I intend to make some with 6 feathers - what do you think about it - will they work well?

    Happy New Year! :)

  • @kaziklu79 6 fletch will work fine, they will have a shorter range. May be just what you want sometimes.

  • @Woodenarrows Thanks, Jim!

  • Ha! That sounds so cool :o) I'd be worried about nailin' the camera...haha! You're a great shot Jim. I'll take you hunting with me :o) Love it!

  • @Ggreenvideos Thanks Rich... and that is the cheaper camera I was using :))

  • I am not even into archery and I love watching these videos. More sound must also mean more drag ... no? It looked to me like the quite arrows flew at a more level trajectory. Excellent production again!

  • @EconoChallenge Yep, more drag. They are meant for short range aerial, bird and tree critters. Don't have to chase them so far if you miss :) Thanks for watching.

  • @EconoChallenge I am with out a doubt buying one as soon as spring hits. I just love this stuff...thanks to Jims great archery vids :o) Very relaxing sport since I'm too old for football...hehe!

  • They do sound good! ;-)

  • Greetings my dear friend! Nice arrows and i love that sound. It is like movie effects. Have you ever been practising aerial targets ? Happy New Year !

  • @Trophybow1 Aerials would be fun for sure. We have a thrower at the club but I have yet to use it. Seems like I am either alone or no one else is interested in dragging out the thrower (it’s pretty big and on a cart).

  • @Woodenarrows It is fun and you definitely have to try someday. I hope you find some friend to come and throw the disks ( it is easier than use the machine)

  • Tight groups!

  • Wow, thats neato, you're pretty good with that bow; and the sound those fu fu's make. I would definately take out the camera. LOL. Hmmm... REI has a small tubular type emergency whistle they sell for $3... me thinks you have a cherrybomb attaching it to middle of arrow. 8o0.. ohhhhhh noooo.

  • @ez2curanut I have a whistle point but that taped on whistle idea sounds like a good experiment :) Thanks!

  • @Woodenarrows then you could call it "Jim's Buzz Bomb Arrow"... rei (dot) com/product/726607
