I saw Ms. Roger last night in Piaf. It is not a very good play and for some reason the entire cast play with a variety of English accents (and one Irish one) apart from Ms. Rogers who speaks english with a "french " accent, mystifying really.

However, the cast are, with one exception, excellent and Ms. Rogers is electrifying, magnificent, breathtaking and truly in the real sense of the word "stunning"

She is superb.

By far Patti LuPone and Elena Roger are the best Evita's. Madonna's Evita lacked substance, however the only number that Madonna sang was You Must Love Me

was her only stand out song.

I saw Evita in London the other week. 3rd row centre seat. Was so lucky. The entire show was better than I had hoped (and I'm a huge Elaine Paige fan so had high expectations!) Elena was breathtaking in her acting, dancing and singing. Wish I could go again before it closes. Che and Migaldi were also favourites. Hope Elena does well after this. Very talented lady.
