I make the same with the same car...Fantastic car...NO problem for the engine never!!!...on the highway for 1h 45min all the time 230 km/h, never had problem with engine...

ok for everyones information the reason why the temp gauge is up so high is becuz hes doing 250 km/h in a fucking civic! its revving in the red line. it doesnt matter how much coolant he has it will over heat doing that speed!

you have something wrong with cooling. That was not supose to happen. And it's not good for your car if the temp is so high. But it's quite amazing what honda can do. ;)

@kinlard123 Technically no car likes to be revved high, yes these engines are persay more made to be at higher RPMs due to Hondas manufacturing, but holding it at rev limiter for more than a few seconds isn't all that great, shit going over the red line on a stock engine isn't that great, and is quite pointless as your powerband stops usually near the beginning of a redline.
