I haven't heard or seen about either driver. My guess is their probably in jail right now awaiting trial. That chinese woman is very humble and actually took care of yueyue. People can be very selfish and i don't think it is a cultural issue, nor a religious one, since being good because you believe in a god rewarding you in the afterlife is just another way to be selfish. In this case the whole event was caught on camera but if there were no witnesses and there was no camera the woman who helped her could have been blamed for the accident. People can be very selfish and i don't think it is a cultural issue, nor a religious one, since being good because you believe in a god rewarding you in the afterlife is just another way to be selfish. I think that being good and moral comes from our human impulse which is a strong evolutionary factor which allowed us to keep going during millennia, but unfortunately selfish people are still here, in every culture and religion.

the issue is overpopulation within a society. Once this happens, there becomes a very distinct disconnect between people, thus more people are likely to just keep to themselves and not concern themselves with others. This incident was absolutely horrible, and more concerning since the victim was just a toddler. That puddle you see is this precious child's blood and innards all over the road. As you can see by the video not One but Two trucks ran over her! This little girl didn't have a chance. The one tiny lady who pulled her to Safety was the only one with Heart. Shame on that child's parents for not watching a toddler more closely. Babies do not know the danger of being in a street. There is a real risk of being blamed for the accident if you stop to help someone. In this case the whole event was caught on camera but if there were no witnesses and there was no camera the woman who helped her could have been blamed for the accident. Why do you think Doctors won't help people at the scene of an accident? But I agree, the bystander effect is also to blame, once you take action, you are involved.
