  • I do not believe it works that way, but you can try. If you have just a small part of the root, it will survive and eventually thrive with some TLC

  • can i propagate it from a leaf cuttting???

  • I have never seen aloe seeds. I do not know. I have always done mine with cuttings or "baby" aloe.

  • how do I grow aloe from seeds ? how many seeds and how much time will it take?

  • I did not know they could go a year without water. That is amazing.

  • Wow! Your plants look great! It is also beneficial to set the cuttings aside for a day to let them heal prior to replanting. And always remember to never overwater. An adult aloe can last a year without water! thanks for posting this awesome vid!

  • I have never used seeds for aloe. I have always had a live plant to separate. To be honest, I have never seen my aloe flower, so I don't think it produces seeds.

  • how many seeds did you use?

  • Without a root, i don't think it will take, but try anyway. what do you have to loose.

  • Thank you so much! this was really helpful!! lol..someone gave me one but it doesn't have the root, do youthink it will grow?

  • hi i sent you an email hope u don't mind

  • I have never seen a flower. It grows and spreads by the roots. It grows new plants and just fills in any space it can find. As far as I know there is no male and female separation of the aloe.

  • My aloe plant never grows much. Never flowers or sprouts babies either. I wonder why? Do aloes have separate male and female plants?

  • I know there are different kinds of aloe. We have used ours for topical treatments only so far. I have enough now to try to make some gel out of it.

  • they don't sell the organic aloe vera were I live. I bought a non organic one and it says not for consumption:/

  • Goodness!!!!. So, you mentioned a aloe vera give away. I would love one. Please.....I live in So. Calif. and I will pay for postage.

  • yu did a gr8 job wid one hand ; )

  • Oh and thumbs up for the Video keep up the good work !!

  • can you send me a couple by mail without the soil !!! I'm serious they are hard to find where i live !!!

  • Ours turn brown as well, but it still is moist inside. So I am not sure what happened. If I keep mine in the shade, they stay green. I keep them in a plastic bag to give away to people as well and those stay all green. I am not sure that the brown color is a bad thing.

  • I did this exact same procedure as you showed here and my baby aloe is turning brown now. I have them on the back porch where the sun only hits them in the morning. I watered them initially like you did and lightly water when top inch is dry. Any suggestions? Should i move them inside?

  • @chickybumlook aloe vera is a deasert plant. keep it dry for at least 3 days

  • I have hope now, because i received some aloe plants that were half way dying and i thought it was a lost cause. I thought i was too rough with my transplanting.

  • Thanks for sharing. Remember to wear your garden gloves dear.

  • WOW!!!.......Thats a lot of Aloe plants. Thank you for sharing :)
