Kobe got his team involved and was the 2nd leading scorer in the NBA that year. It was easily his best eyar.

I think he doesn't want his knee to carry that extra weight on his body. Also, he did his 666 workout routine coming into the season, which was A LOT of work...I think in order for Kobe to play more seasons, he can't train and experiment with his body as much anymore. @Dave217 Yes jordan got steals easily with hand checking but the rule works both ways. Kobe averages more turnovers in his career and has more withOUT handchecking. It must have been harder to keep the ball. Jordan also averaged more blocks and less opposing match up points. Kobe said himself fisher was the lakers off court huddle leader and kobe lead on court. Pau knows his place and decides not to lead.

@Dave217 jordan also would average the same amount of rebounds today. Just like the over the back rule didn't exist back then jordan could steal rebounds with more ease. But he could also get the rebound taken by other players by doing over the back fouls. On the side of that jordan is still better in every statistical category.
