  • Please post a video of your spray painted crapophone. Thanks for all your great videos.

  • @DIYPhonophile Funny you should mention that. I was only thinking about doing that 2 days ago. I'll try & do one soon. I'd like to finish painting the horn to match first though.

  • What model number is it, Shane? I've a 30, and this one is a bit more upscale...has a grille cloth...need to compare our 30 to your machine, which is a bit more deluxe.

They are very good players, aren't they, though! Never wear out, not one bit.

  • @ReidWelch It's just a normal 30, but I added the grille cloth cloth to keep the dust out :)

The very first of the 30's did have grille cloth, but it was abandoned after a couple months. The original metal grille was missing from my machine also, so I bought a modern replacement made of wood.. I think the 30 is a fantastic machine for their size, and they seem to last forever.

  • Wow you have alot of videos, its cool.. :)

    Loved listening to a few

  • Why thank you TBA! :)

I've got some of Australia's earliest recording stars uploaded like Peter Dawson, Florrie Forde, Billy Williams, though to some of our later country legends like Smoky Dawson, Reg Lindsay & Slim Dusty if you're ever in a nostelgic mood.
