  • Do you want to be my dad?

  • Yep I'm with kmadd16. Show me the crotch fix.

  • DO NOT BUY RIPPED JEANS. IT'S JUST STUPID

  • buy some new jeans! ive repaired mine about 5 times, crotch blowouts aswell! there alright to walk about in but they dont last 2 mins when im riding.

  • A good tip: Always take off the jeans before sewing. :(

  • thanks¡¡¡

  • yea my crotch blew all over the place help plz

  • Sweet i've had these jeans since 2006! i patched the butt but didnt know hwo the do the knees

  • Thanks Dude !! It worked!

  • I SEWD MY FINGER TO THE JEANS IN NOT SATISFIED....xD

  • Hey I need to patch my jeans after skating and scraping a hole in the knee. Can you recommend a type of sewing machine I can buy? I'm getting fed up hand-stitching....

  • thanks man, I ripped my pants in some bobbed wire when I was drunk, I hope that I can make em. Never used a sewing machine before :p

  • LMAO at how fast that sewing machine was going. Nice tip and fun to watch too.

  • What's wrong with iron on patches?

Personally, if my jeans get worn or ripped, they become shorts, as I do not do sewn, ripped, or worn jeans, but that's just me.

  • best vid evar, not boring and kewl colors

  • I love these do at home videos!

  • Great idea! I'm about to go do this now. Thanks! You should make a video on howto rip your jeans.

  • How do you do it if it's on the inner thigh?

my legs aren't separate like a lot of people so they rub against each other!!

  • @mimi10115 Omg thats my problem!!!

  • Yeah but what if its on your crotch or butt? Because mine started in the crotch and just ripped all the way in the back. They're kinda old and worn in that area too.

  • yea could u make a vid around the crotch cause its very annoying

  • ive had that before just do what he says up till the pins part and use a bunch of saftey pins and i used a bandanna but anything will work

  • tru dat yo.

  • thatz kool, like them glasses 2.

  • yeah i ripped my designer jeans all down the hem.. and nobody wants to fix them

  • I have a pair of ripped shorts (the rip is on the thigh) the kind from A&F and I stuck my foot through the rip and now there's a big hole and the thinning strands are everywhere.... so I guess my question is how do I fix a rip in already ripped jeans w/o a patch? Is it possible to bring back the original ripped look?

  • I love you.

But mine ripped right next to my crotch, on the inner thigh. Can I do the same thing?

  • mine ripped from the croch about a foot long in the inner thigh..

  • could you please make a video of sewing a tear in the crotch area

  • haha yes, i came here in search of crotch repair too.

  • @kmadd16 hahaha thats exactly what im looking for. my favorite pair that they dont make anymore has a tear like that :(

  • @kmadd16

I have some friends in Germany with great ideas. They really rock your jeans: no1jeans.c

  • @kmadd16 rofl

  • how would you do this by hand cause i dont have that little machine?

  • so this is where bre pettis came to... i didnt know he could sew, appart from the "how to make a messenger bag out of plastic bags" video... but pretty good!

  • @newclips Bre's the perfect man. He knows how to make electronics stuff (wich I can't) and a bit more girly stuf like sewing. Plus : he's the hottest nerd I've ever seen.

  • could you do a video on how to sew jeans when you rip them in the crotch area

  • agreed. three pairs of my best jeans have been owned this way.

  • hey bre i thought you were with make magazine

  • My favorite way to repair rips is the turn the pants inside out and blanket stitch around both sided of the tear, using thread that matches the pants. When you invert the pants again, all the ragged edges are pulled inside and the rip is repaired.

  • now this is the kind off stuff i like.. reminds me a lot to weekend projects :P awesome!

  • Thanks for the comments and ideas everyone! Next time I have to hide the stitches I'll put them in the same direction of the denim grain.

  • I'm a dude, and I have some stupid jeans that ripped so, now I'm down to like... four pairs of wearable pants. My sister won't sew them for me, but could you make a vid showing how?

  • And preferably by hand :)

  • Using a sewing machine is easy man, just practice on a random bit of material first then go for your jeans.

  • hey, thanks

  • Looks awesome! I use iron-on interfacing instead of fabric on the inside, no pins! Plus, it holds the edges of the tear exactly where you want them to be

  • YAY ETSY!

  • great video!

    oh and great chin

  • i totally had to do that to one of my favorite pairs of pants a couple months ago!

  • love it!

  • your the hottest nerd eva

  • @Chinitay: Totally!! and suprisingly good ideas too. I love the way those jeans turned out, they look really stylish. :)

  • Great job!

  • Hey Bre, you cute little buttercup! I just wanted to say thanks for the video - I wouldn't have come up with something better. Besides, I like my jeans ripped, when they're old and used. Hey - they're still beautiful on the inside! :D

  • woah.
