  • Originally a Westinghouse I'm assuming.

  • Yes, or even an Otis.

  • And it has the rare extended low-pitched chimes!

  • Indeed it does.

  • WOAH! Schindler didn't change the INSIDE chimes but DID change the OUTSIDE chimes!? WOW!

  • This elevator is weird because of the low and high pitch chimes

  • Indeed it is, and it too sounds very interesting to me.

  • How amazing is that, but it seems that the 2-floor stores with hydraulics look like this.

  • this elevator looks identical to the nordstrom elevators at wellington mall in palm beach and west county mall in st. louis

  • Thanks.

  • EPIC!!!

  • I did retake it, I'll upload it, and it is holeless.

  • Now this one could be holeless

  • Or even a piano.

  • The down bell sounded just like a violin.

  • Yes, with the alternating high/low bell sounds.

  • Reminds me of the bell at the SpringHill suites in Dallas, TX

  • the bell sounds screwed up I like this elevator though

  • In addition, they just put the higher pitched tone module into the car station, so both the car and hall fixtures use the higher pitched/standard bell.

  • can you do a retake with the new bell?

  • Yes, I can.

  • Yes, I like the higher pitched sounds, but this is a 330A hydraulic elevator.

  • Is that tone the old 400A tone, it sounds so droopy, I like the brand new 400A's

  • Most likely Otis.

  • What Brand Was The Elevator Before It Was Modernized?

  • It used to be a Montgomery Ward store.

  • what was this store before it was Nordstrom?

  • Thanks for the correction.

  • It's Nordstrom, not Nordstrom's

  • Otis is still in business, and their elevators are still reliable to this day, even though Schindler and ThyssenKrupp elevators aren't bad.

  • I'm seeing a lot more Schindlers and ThrssenKrupps than good ol' Otises. Did Otis go out of business or something? Their elevators were reliable back in the 1990's.

  • Yes, I think 50 feet/minute is the slowest, but these are about 100 feet/minute, and are somewhat slow.

  • Aren't the 330A's supposed to be really slow? Possibly the slowest Schindler makes?

  • Actually, it's ADA compliant, and has a deep, penetrating sound.

  • I know, since it's a high end store.

  • Normstom always has really nice elevators there building normstrom at ross park mall where macys was that moved to the Kaufmanns store its 3 storys and macys bought kaufmanns they tore down the old macys store and Normstrom is building a new building it will open in the fall I plan to get a video when it opens

  • So do I, along with Otis, ThyssenKrupp, and Kone.

  • Heh, I like Schindler elevators.

  • starbucks95905 - They're my favorite!

  • That's right, high pitched in the lobby, and low pitched in the car.

  • Low pitched is annoying because it goes "Bee-buuuuuuuuuuuuuuppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppp." In contrast the high pitch is shorter and it sounds a bit musical.

  • Low pitched is annoying.

  • theres 2 bells

  • It worked? Wow! That's a first!

  • I like the bell: BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOP!

  • Actually, it's a good video, and that is one loud horn on the second floor.

  • you can hear them both
