Here's the deal... look at the title. It is a coaching game. It is pretty difficult at first, and very detailed. You have to decide so many things and research everything. Now there is a massive amount of freezing problems that are annoying. Notice that when music is no longer playing save and and restart the game sometimes you go 6 hours without a problem and sometimes you go 30 mins. AI is annoying at times but I still give it a 7.5 out of 10.

YOU WILL HATE THIS GAME! The career mode is madden franchise but you just call the plays and dont run them. Average person playing this game " Wow i just pushed a button and then i watched the tv run the play for me.
Instead of buying this, watch ur friend play madden and tell him wat play to run :p
the reason that the rookies are not on the roster is because its a franchise based game, all the rookies are in the draft that you have to go through before you start your first season
or you can chose to skip the draft and have all the rookies that were drafted in real life to start the season

im gonna get the collectors edition of madden 09 later this week because it only $25 it also comes with madden '93 and a bonus disc its a great deal considering that the madden 09 game alone is $20

What do you mean Ryan isn't on the Falcons or Chris Johnson isn't on the Titans.. You probably started a career mode pre draft, if you did it post draft they would be on their teams I believe.

Good review. I miss the coaching mode of the old Sierra Front page sports games. Nobody has done it as good since 97.
