I've been watching all of the videos bashing PP, trying to figure out why I heard about the defunding before I even knew WHY. I have signed the petition to help keep your funding. I wasn't ready to have a child and your clinic helped me to get a Mirena so I could take the stress of getting pregnant off my mind. I am a college student, and my boyfriend and I are having a hard enough time paying rent and keeping food on the table, let alone having a child. Thanks for keeping me off welfare.

Planned Parenthood is so vital. It provides factual information and safe services, like neonatal care, family planning, sti and cancer screenings, and yes- abortions at some locations. Most women who utilize PP have no other source to turn to. It's not just socially responsible, but fiscally as well. For every Federal dollar spent on PP, Medicaid saves $3.74 (Frost, JJ et al., Contraceptive Needs and Services: National and State Data, 2008 Update, Guttmacher Institute, 2010).

Planned Parenthood does not care about women. Not only do their workers aid and abet the sex trafficking of minors, but their founder, Margaret Sanger, wanted to eventually wipe out "inferior" races and people with cognitive disabilities. Planned Parenthood is responsible for over 300,000 abortions every year. They don't save underage girls from harmful relationships and statutory rape; they provide a "quick fix" to the "problem" and send the girls right back into the dangerous situations.

Look, abortion is but a very minor factor in the exposing of Planned Parenthood by LIve Action. It's the fact that they helped out criminals, knowing full well that they were criminals, and did nothing about these said criminals legal wise. A simple call to the police would've sufficed. But no, they pretended that they didnt hear these awefult testimonies and in some cases just practically said they would give them a "hook-up". That is morally, ethically, religiously, and legally wrong.

When I was a much younger guy I was able to get low cost STD testing at a Planned Parenthood clinic. Since I was sexually active it was important in addition to use of barrier contraceptives to make sure that the everything was as clean as I assumed it was.

When it was time to have children good health care along the way insured that there were no unpleasant surprises. Thanks Planned Parenthood.

Don't believe all that they say. It was a very nice, "happy feeling" promo video. But that's what it is-a promo video. They're not going to fess up to using govt funds for abortions. Don't be fooled. PP's goals are ultimately to make $ and they'll make it by promoting unhealthy, sexually promiscuous lifestyles to our young people which ultimately leads to problems (safe sex or not).

@jezett Only 4% of women who use PP's service are obtaining abortions. So people like you might look to victimize them but, in reality, 96% of their services go towards providing counseling, prescribing birth control, and providing prenatal care.

I am 47 yrs. old now, and have had a hysterectomy done in the last few yrs. But when I was younger and working like a dog without health insurance, your organization was a saving grace. You offered exams, std tests and birth control options. The cost was minimal and a life saver in itself. I am furious about the bashing that you get for doing good work for women who are in need. I applaud your help and people should be better informed about your group instead of the lies. My Many Thanks.

What a ridiculous statement. Please tell me that you don't honestly believe that people are opposed to an organization for doing good work for people in need. On the contrary, the opposition is a response to the outright failure to embrace, authenticate, and defend the worth and dignity of women and children. And that, my dear, is the truth of the matter.

Planned Parenthood enables women to have the information to make decisions about their own lives. It includes health check-ups, medical testing and access to birth control.

When women have no control of their reproduction, they have no control over their lives. I am grateful that Planned Parenthood realizes that women are actually capable of making decisions for themselves.
