This is actually supposed to happen if the show is e-stopped. Each audio animatronic in this show has many sensors that tell how far it is leaning in each direction and if the animatronic is not behaving, the show is immediately stopped and the animatronic does what happens in the video to prevent damage.

The fact that he fell backwards is good. Both the Lincoln animatronic figure and the Washington one are designed to fold backwards like that, the chair is even breakaway which you can see if you look very carefully. Their was a travel channel special involving Disney Imagineering and how they designed them to do that..It was nifty.

This was actually a good thing it fell backwards. Before this it had fallen sideways and the fluid inside of the audio-anamatronic was red at the time. Apparently one of the tubes broke and it caused him to crash. People actually thought that Disney had recreated the Lincoln Assassination. So Disney changed the fluid to white and tried to get the audio-anamatronics to fall backwards when they crash.
