The REAL FF3 was for the NES, and starred four nameless Onion Kids on a quest to save the four Crystals from an evil wizard named Xande.

Well, I pesonally would say that it depends with what KIND of games you grow up with. For example, I dont think growing up with a game like Counter Strike, you'll gain much from it... But since I grew up with RPGs, I can definitely say that those kind of games do support you. For example, I learned some good manners from Fire Emblem, like, the polite talk and stuff.. xD

Games(Not all of them but some) can really support people in their Hearts, and thats why they are so wonderful. =)

FF1 for NES = 1, FF2 for SNES = 4, and FF3 = 6. They didnt bring over some of the games until recent years. But 7 and up they havent missed a beat.

Uh...about the numbering. 2 and 3 were released in Japan, but not in the US. When 4 and 6 were released in Japan, they were also released here, but since we didn't get 2 and 3, they renamed them (for some stupid ass reason). Our 2 and 3 is not the same as Japan's. They got two totally different FF's that we missed out on.

and just to respond to that last comment...It was originally released on the SNES in the US as III (I have my copy still, I'm positive)- it was always VI in Japan. Then it was re-released in North America as VI on Playstation. Now it's more universally VI, but to a lot of people who played it in North America wayyy back when, it'll always be III.
