  • BEST FUCKING FILM EVER! Crowley wasn't THAT crazy, but still amazing film. :) I <3 Crowley's work eeeeek <3

  • For some of you who think he 'modernized' the world or that he was a great man; you have my condolences for you're in denial. He did not modernize the system, he infected it with the problems we see today. He's influential, yes. He's ambitious, yes. But, he is to those who crave destruction and like people suffering. A system where there is no ladder and slaves remain slaves.

  • @Deraztic where slaves*

  • @Deraztic Oooookay then. Not accurate, propagandistic, and shows a distinct lack of knowledge of the Laws of Thelema, but I suppose you are entitled to your opinion.

  • @SonofSethoitae Bro, I'd say I do lack the knowledge of the Laws of Thelema but if you pick up the Satanic Bible, you'll find many places where Alleister Crowley plays a big part. That alone is a very big thing.

  • @Deraztic That's all well and good, but Crowley played no role in Satanism or the writing of "The Satanic Bible". Anton La Vey decided to add him to his system of zitty Nietzschean sulking of "THEY are sheep and WE are badass!". You can't use Satanism as a point for judging Crowley. Look up Thelema, it's all about empowerment. Not my cup of tea mind you, but still fascinating. Aleister Crowley wasn't anything the popular media cast him as.

  • @Deraztic My point is, Don't judge the man before knowing what he believed. He wasn't a Satanist, he was a Thelemite. "Thelema" is the great word for "Will" or "Cosmic Purpose". His commandment for his followers was "Do as thou Willt shall be the whole of the Law. Love is the Law, Love under Will." He also said "Every Man, Woman and Child is a Star." If you know Crowley, you know that that phrase means "You are a God, and therefore worth more than this. But so is everyone else, so be respectful"

  • @SonofSethoitae *the GREEK word, not great word. Woopsy :P

  • @SonofSethoitae By what you say, I think you're in the system yourself or that you believe in what he says. He aided Anton La Vey and he did play a big part in what is happenin' today. By quoting a few wise words, you cannot say he meant what he said for words have two meanings at times. I don't see how we're stars. Neither religion nor science has proven that if that's what you're trying to say. Also, we're not Gods. There is none but one God.

  • @Deraztic Science hasn'r proven there's a God either. Also, "star" is obviously not meant literally. He never even knew Anton La Vey, seeing as La Vey was only 17 when Crowley died, and he didn't start the Church of Satan until the 1950s. And yes, I can quote those words because they are the BACKBONE of his philosophy. I am not a Thelemite myself, but I understand that his system is about liberation, and I've studied it with a skeptical mind. He had nothing to do with Satanism at all.

  • @SonofSethoitae What science discovers now is previously written in the scriptures of the Bible and the Quran. All it needs is more interpretation. Also, Anton La Vey was inspired alot by Aleister Crowley. Why would Anton La Vey even include Aleister Crowley's views in the satanic bible if his views weren't satanic or one which were to illuminate the world. To be followed by everyone because they were very successful but satanic. I suppose you're an atheist then? I haven't studied his system.

  • @Deraztic Nope, I'm not an Atheist. Anton La Vey included a twisted version of Crowley's teachings based on the sensationalistic media casting of Crowley. Crowley hated Christianity, this is true, but he wasn't a Satanist. He was a Pagan. He used words the "The Beast 666" and "Baphomet" to piss off an easily angered public for his own amusement. But you'll find that there's little in common between Thelema and Satanism if you do a little digging.

  • @Deraztic Anton La Vey didn't even believe in a literal Satan, let alone a God. His philosophy was materialistic and hedonistic, based entirely in the world. Death is the end for a Satanist, they have no afterlife.

I'm not fond of the philosophy, but I've looked into it too.

  • @SonofSethoitae Anton La Vey's philosophy was itself satanic for satanists are materialistic and very fond of what they own, how much they spend and how they live. They have no care as to what the others are doing and they are indulged in extravagance; Which is not allowed in Christianity/Islam. I'm a muslim just by the way and extravagance is like givin' into satan. It's like falling into his hands for the person becomes proud and does not care for what he's been blessed with then.

  • @Deraztic Oh and by the looks of it, I think Anton La Vey did believe there was a God but he did not like the concept of a God. If he hadn't believed in the concept of God, why would he make an attempt to ruin the Holy Book itself? He, with the help of some others if I remember correctly, changed the book.

  • @Deraztic Yes, this I know. But his system did not avowedly "worship Satan" because he didn't actually believe there was one. He was most definitely an Atheist. He tried to destroy the Holy Books for the same reason Christopher Hitchens did. They were very similar in their outlooks, the difference being that Hitchens didn't much like Satan either. La Vey used the Concepts of God and Satan to shock people, (Cont.)

  • @Deraztic as well as pull in disgruntled ex members of God believing religions. He used Satan as a symbol, not a figure. "God is dead" is a cornerstone of his philosophy.

Also, your Muslim beliefs are intriguing, having never met a Muslim myself. I consider myself philosophical, without any particular religious affiliation.

  • @SonofSethoitae Hmm... I see. Though, he did use Satan which in return gave name to the 'Satanic Bible' itself. I see why he tried to destroy the Holy books. They thought religion was outdated and not up to date with the modern times. I do not think that is right. What confuses me is, why would he include rituals and write something that was related to evil rather than the good?

Also, yes, I'm a muslim and whenever I need a reason as to why I should do what my religion wants me to,

  • @Deraztic I get it. Adding to that, the reason is pretty strong too. Undeniable that is.

  • @Deraztic La Vey was not a well adjusted individual, that's probably why :P

  • @SonofSethoitae I guess. You see? That is why I stated that in the first place. The world is coming to an end.

Also, if you go through the Holy Quran; you'll find signs that have been given towards the end of the world. There are many examples but the ultimate sign is the appearance of Dajjal or the Anti-Christ. Fog-ish weather for around 40 days over every place. Boys dressing up as girls and girls dressing up as boys that is, Boys coverin' themselves up and girls uncovering themselves(Cont.)

  • @Deraztic There's many others. You should look into it if you're interested. (:

  • i like the part where he said ''jack parsons'' and then died of a heart attack

  • grande Bruce Dickinson eres lo mejor

  • @jorgeskywalker2394 - ha, he's your granda, you have to go up onto the death star to fight him

  • What was life like at the Abbey? did they have all the modern conveniences of the time?

  • Why do people call this man a hero? He is disgusting. Homosexual, betrayer of not only country but family, left 2 children that died (once to be with a man), satanist, freemason, OTO member, nazi wanna be, let a fellow hiker die, had a follower at his abby drink drink or inject cat blood and die, and I could go on. Yet musicians like the one who wrote this filth, and the beatles, jay-z, ozzy and many many more love him. Admiring him is like admiring a piece of crap in your toilet.

  • I love Bruce Dickinson , but I'm afraid of Mr. Crowley , he's apalling

  • I have met him, quite pleasant actually ...... I think he will still be loving all the hype his bait left behind.

    Good lad.

  • The guy that makes the VR sim is meant to be Jack Parsons isn't he.

  • Crowley is my hero. :'D

  • @Fagiolification WHY ? please tell us it's interesting ...

  • @616blabla I'm not talking about all the shit that Crowley did in this movie. He was one of the most influential men of the past two centuries. I've read all his books and lots of books about him and I think he's fascinating. He has revolutionized the western magical practices, he brought yoga in Europe, he was a great writer, painter, guru, astrologer and professot. All the shit he done in this movie is just crap. And @klepto0oe : being homosexual is NOT a sin, dumbass. Just shut the fuck up.

  • @Fagiolification Incidentally, he was bisexual, not homosexual. 93

  • I recommend this movie. It is provocative but also with a set of very sane and logical characters. Acting was good with the guy playing crowley standing out. Go watch it!

  • This movie ROCKS!!!

    Thanks, Bruce!!!

  • The movie was very weird.

  • Brucie rocks! :D

  • LAME.

  • THIS MOVIE - SHOWS THE REAL ILLUMINATI!

    FUCKD UP!!!

  • This movie is fucked up XD

  • Where can I view this film?

  • @IronMaidenOnParas

netflix has it. thats were i seen it.

  • @bloodkills666 thanks

  • WELL MOST PEOPLE SAY THAT BECAUSE BRUCE MADE A FILM ABOUT HIM

    HE SUPPORTS HIM...

BUT I BELIEVE THAT MAKING A MOVIE ABOUT WORST PERSON IN HISTORY IS INTERESTING...

    GOOD JOB BRUCE

  • @Aw3s0meGuy Cowley the worst person in the history, dude are you sane?

  • @Aw3s0meGuy

Worst person? He can't hold a candle to Rasputin.

Or Hitler for that matter but he is a bit obvious.

  • I didn't know much about Crowley. I just saw "Bruce Dickinson" and bought it. I loved every minute of it! Friends did too.

  • up the irons

  • bah! As usual A.C. misunderstood

  • Comment removed

  • Ha. B movie but what a trip. I just hope they show him taking it up the butt because that's what he enjoyed most, with cocain and herion. And if crowelly was going to be reincarnated he'd probably want to come back as a hot babe.

  • i am disappoint

  • @WomanInTheRedDress Dillinger was disappointed too

  • Love is the greatest goal of all.. yet strange how evil does have it's day.. ..hm? I see a number ... "711" perhaps.. all plays have a finale' .. LOVE WINS! ~a~ witness

  • I'm fan of SINGER Bruce Dickinson, just don't wanna know about the 'director'

  • Yet another fear-mongering 'movie' about Crowley.

  • this film is hilarious. i like the synch (because the same actors in both) into ace ventura 2, cause of the implications of his nips being radio dials as against the AI / VR designer in this film himself being a later incarnation of jack.

  • oh your god, (lol)

i want to see this, i love crowley

    :)

    yay Crowley

  • dear god tell this had nothering to do with the album and it's all just a coincidence

  • im not christian im muslim, a'oozhubillahi minashaytaanir rajeem. i dont listen to anyones opinion, save ur breath for the day of judgment

  • @Mlogix2010 word

  • this was a horrible movie! that was poorley made. this is coming from a semi pro crowley historian.

  • HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!! Cant stop laughing... omfg thats funny...

  • LOL is the for real? hahaha! wtf?

This movie looks really really REALLY bad... i wanna cry.

Nobody needs to see some old bald guy in "Titanic Stance" with his shirt spread open...

  • fuk dat shit, god is all powerfull and only he chooses wether rituals will work as a test on whoever does them.

  • @Mlogix2010 Like joab? HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!

If god likes you he get u drunk and feeds u to the fish. roflmfao.

btw, it says in the BIBLE that only the DEVIL grants pagans their sorcery... thats why its say to burn witches.. mmk?

  • @Mlogix2010 Christianity got is false. qwwq more, do your research.

  • I haven't seen it yet.

Now I want to know if it looks like a B tv film, B movie or simply a good movie( the reference here being From Hell)

  • This movie AND the Chemical wedding CD kick major ass!

  • That movie was too weird even for me.

I've read a few of ac's books and was still shocked enough to not watch it.

  • @ernestotorres1977 I loved it, but it was definitely weird..BUT accurately described the babalon ritual as well as eleusis rituals

  • This movie rocked!

  • this fuck was really bad

  • that film is really weird.. i could'nt understand it and that guy really freaked me out!

  • An interesting film, definitely, but fizzles a bit toward the end. Worth seeing but I think it helps to know the subject matter a bit more than I.Wanna Watch the Full Movie Go To BigOnlineMovies . c o m

  • @romeoderyua I didnt think it fizzled...but i agree you should know the material before you watch...the rituals of babalon working and eleusis were nicely recreated!

  • It's time to wake up to "chemtrails". Search for it. This is important. It's a secret program. I filmed it myself. Check "Dont talk about the weather". Wake others ASAP!!

  • Mais satanista impossivel...

  • That was a movie i cannot watch till the end ... it's so weird, no-sense, and have no meaning at all.

The music was good anyway. The movie itself is a piece of shit though.

  • I got to watch this, cause that's Bruce's movie

    up the Iron motherfuckers

  • Oh, how "light hearted, "how "fun looking," nice way to get the point across- "do what you want, just do it" with such a satirical movie trailer.

  • Was this movie good? I was hoping that it was really good since Maiden is awesome and all.

  • well, the movie itself wasnt anything spectacular but since bruce was screenplay writer and music director for this movie,... well you get my point plus movie is kinda perverted and weird and i liked it in a weird way lol

    up the irons

  • mr crowley is a perverted and weird man to

  • you're too stupid to know that about anyone, let alone someone dead half a century.

  • fucking malade....

  • hey ! I've seen that movie a lot of times it's awesome . in the end I saw that bruce was playing a blind man in the movie, but I didn't see it what's the moment of the film ?

  • Sou fã do Bruce, mas... Este filme não vale népia!! Actores de 5ª qualidade e uma tentativa frustada de chocar que para mim acabou em comédia. UP THE IRONS

  • aoo idiota pega e faz melhor intao ow sabixao

  • eu quero este filme

  • you should post it for free,as the child of the aeon is skint, and bored

  • i respect Rob Zombie as a filmmaker and all, his movies are good...but this movie made him seem like Uwe Boll

    VERY good movie

  • Great movie.

  • It's a glimpse inside the mind of the sinister L. Ron Hubbard and Scientology.

  • Wow!

Even the trailer looks wack, i don't think i'm going to watch this movie after this.

  • (The House of Usher movie spoilers series): it turns out that Bush is really Crowley.

  • It was good i think!

Slow in the begining but fun at some parts.

  • I watched this last night. that shit was off the chain. haha

  • boring

  • I agree with VOSTFR: british culture at its finest representation and a very nice way to exorcise the view of Crowley as Satan. :D

  • Lol! I thnik Crowley would've died if he ever saw this film, its a pretty dumb and if not downright disrespectful representation of a person who had a brilliant mind but just used it in a very obscure, obscene and selfish nature. The guy was a mystic, a poet and a great mountaineer but on the flipside he was sexualy perverted, a controll freak and downright cruel. The thing that ended really being the downfall of crowley was his heroin addiction, which caused alot of his mental/health problems

  • i agree except for the fact of the control freak, and cruel. i'm guessing your taking about the O.T.O. Crowley was given the possion as the outer head of the o.t.o. and many of what has been said about Crowlwy isn't true, has been changed, or is just one side of the story. when i learned he had use drugs my faith in him died a little, but i still do respect him. if he had not taken it over the top as mush as he did he would have been more sucsessful.

  • yeah he was a failure in many, many ways but I dont know exactly what he was really trying to achieve I dont think he did either to be honest lolz the drugs he used were mainly psychedelics though, which if you have ever tried will know there's alot more to them than anyone could ever believe, which is why people in the medical community are starting to research them again and are considering them again as an aid in psychotherapy

  • i know he wrote 'Moonchild', and that spawned a kick ass Maiden song.

  • Iron Maiden singer + Monty Python editor = British culture at its finnest.

  • SCUM

  • Too bad that earthquake missed the Vatican the REAL domicile of Satan. Crowley was a hush puppy compared to what I have in mind for these people:)

  • its not about wat u do but the way do do it. and of course if its tastefull

  • i agree :)

  • there's no tast in commenting without a feedback + & - ! who's the asshole who toke away that!

  • i did see this movie is it any good

sound lil cheesy im some parts of the trailer

  • I really liked it. It could be improved but still good.

  • pizzo

  • Muito bom !

  • It is a good movie indeed but the screenplay is a total bullsh*t. it has nothing to do with Crowley as he was. This movie makes Crowley a murderer and a psycho. It is a shame.

  • it's a fucking movie dumshits and a good one at that. lots of tits, blood, and piss

  • This movie is trash. You assholes should be ashamed of yourselves for making a movie about someone without accurately depicting them in history. This should be a fucking crime. A complete sham and a total piece of shit.

  • don't call bruce dickinson an asshole!!!

  • bruce is not only an amazing singer, he is alson an amazing director

  • you said it :-)

  • Crowley had nothing to do with satanism.

Satanism is BASED partially on Crowley.

He's a legend. If he didn't exist, there would be no modern occultism.

  • That am afraid is incorrect my friend.White and Black magic existed long before Crowley.Crowley just performed rituals that not many occultists dared to conquer! Like the Abramelin and the Enochian magic.Oh and he had a thing for twisted and demented sex rituals!

  • Inverted pentagrams synonymous with modern satanism...what has that got to do with Crowley and Thelema? That's a bit like Emperor Nero using a mobile phone. He was just a total chancer and toss pot, an occultist drug addict pervert. Why he's suddenly evil I have no idea. Why was Crowley so special anyway? Just another occultist who happened to be famous. Reincarnating him making out he was some superhuman or 'demon'. It's only because he's the only occultist the audience will ever have heard of.

  • Crowley performed white magic when he first started and then he went on to conquer black magic! What do you think they invoke in black magic? The tooth fairy? And what is the definition of a good man to you? The one who let's a goat fuck him and then slit's it's throat right upon the orgasm?

  • Conquer? I don't think anyone ever truly conquers goetia. I never said he was a good man, that's a TOTALLY different issue lol

  • I think you missed the point of what I was saying. I was saying inverted pentagrams were anachronistic, I did not say that he was not indulging in 'black magic'. I did not say he was a good man, I just said he wasn't evil and that he was an irresponsible tosser. That's all. The Left-Hand Path is supposed to be about rationalism right? You don't need to prove how 'bad ass' he was to me. I really don't care. This is just a lame ass, sensationalised movie, that's my point.

  • Comment removed

  • I was excited at first, then offended, then just disappointed. Crowley may have been a twisted bastard, but the occultism itself was anything but evil, satanic or twisted. Like many geniuses, he went misunderstood, but a lot of that is his own doing, kind of on purpose.

He figured, and rightly so, that if people are too stupid and lazy to understand what he was actually talking about, then they deserve to be misled by their own misconceptions.

    Same old misinformation being perpetuated.

  • Mr. crowley=Satan

    =D

  • Excellent film, much better than I expected to be honest!

My only problem is with the sound levels on the DVD,it needs some sort of remastering.

  • I wish they would make a movie that is actually about the life of Crowely. That would be creepy enough, and true. This looks more on the lines of a modern day Jason or Freddy Creuger. Just a creepy, teenager movie, but I still wouldn't mind seeing it.

  • I absolutely agree! In fact, I think it would be much more horrifying, since Liber al vel Legis actually contradicts so much of our modern, liberal, egalitarian beliefs!

He, like Friedrich Nietzsche, is the worse type of monster: the one that tells us what we don't want to hear, but secretly suspect is true.

  • Iron Maiden as been my all time favorite band since I was 4 years old. To me this movie was good to watch at least once. It wasn't that bad, but it wasn't that good either.

  • wow the great Bruce Dickinson from the greatest band in the world made a horror movie thats awesome i must see it

  • How can people hate a movie with spanking and pussy shaving in it? How, I ask? How?

  • If only we could've used that as an official quote for the poster!

  • lol

  • @chrishampson and the music is simple amazing

  • @BrotherBabylon People who like hairy twats and dont like s and m.

  • i watched the movie,in my opinion it was good

  • "THE Bruce Dickenson"? The one that makes golden diapers?

  • Bruce... come and sing, you do it very well, but this movie seems destined to fail, the trailer is painful and regrettable

  • I was watching this movie with director sitting behind me in electric palace cinema in Hastings, but his face wasn't very optimistic when he saw people (including me) leaving before the movie finished.:) I think that was a piss take.

  • The movie will be released on DVD next january 20, 2009 in France (by Universal Pictures Video).

  • Not really sure its meant to be a biopic more a tongue in cheek effort.

As for fault finding with Bruce, writer, fencing pro, millionaire, wouldn't mind those credentials on my CV either?

  • Ooooh, definitely not a biopic. Roger was far more evil than I ever Aiwass.

  • Christ, it really is written by Bruce Dickinson isn't it? The man can't write for shit - try one of his books and see if you can get past page five.

  • Having seen the film I agree heartily, it really has to be one of the worst films I have ever seen. He can't write, relies exclusively on sub-Redemption cliches and has no understanding of what Crowley was about at all.

Still, it took some balls, he must be quite a hate figure among the OTO after making this haphazard pile of shit.

  • this movie was good as hell,a new favorite of mine

  • lol im a crowley fan but this look shitty.. how can an old weird bald man being labeled "seductive" or "provocative" XD

  • You never saw any pictures of crowley?

  • I've seen different, but the fact is that Crowley isn't seductive...

  • Hello! Magick! Duh.

  • That my friend is the power of the Beast. Muhahahahaha

  • God they made it so gay! I wanted to see a gruesome video of Crowley's life, would have bee better.

  • i can't fucking wait until the north american release!

  • Good film, well worth a viewing. Alot of shite was written about this prior to it's release, most of it pompous and unfair.

  • looks amazingly shite

  • It is. It has to be seen to be believed. How they got Simon Callow is beyond me. He does his best but the writing is hilariously bad.

I think this could be the new 'Plan 9 From Outer Space', it is side-splittingly awful.

  • Where does Bruce appear?

  • I prefer 100% Bruce Dickinson in front of a microphone that behind of a camera.

  • me2

  • um...not sure about this one. looks kind of lame.

  • this is best that the pasion of the christ

  • Oooh, it's good. I thought it would suck after all the bad press it got but I enjoyed it.

  • thanks rock band

  • haha that's the exact way I found out too lol

  • I'll see pretty much anything with Simon Callow, but just in general this looks pretty interesting.

  • It is. Crowley was a powerful magician with tremendous talent, a real Master of Magic.

Search your local libraries for books written about him, but rarely BY him.
