Iron Maiden as been my all time favorite band since I was 4 years old. To me this movie was good to watch at least once. It wasn't that bad, but it wasn't that good either.
I was watching this movie with director sitting behind me in electric palace cinema in Hastings, but his face wasn't very optimistic when he saw people (including me) leaving before the movie finished.:) I think that was a piss take.
Having seen the film I agree heartily, it really has to be one of the worst films I have ever seen. He can't write, relies exclusively on sub-Redemption cliches and has no understanding of what Crowley was about at all.
Still, it took some balls, he must be quite a hate figure among the OTO after making this haphazard pile of shit.

Lol! I thnik Crowley would've died if he ever saw this film, its a pretty dumb and if not downright disrespectful representation of a person who had a brilliant mind but just used it in a very obscure, obscene and selfish nature. The guy was a mystic, a poet and a great mountaineer but on the flipside he was sexualy perverted, a controll freak and downright cruel. The thing that ended really being the downfall of crowley was his heroin addiction, which caused alot of his mental/health problems

i agree except for the fact of the control freak, and cruel. i'm guessing your taking about the O.T.O. Crowley was given the possion as the outer head of the o.t.o. and many of what has been said about Crowlwy isn't true, has been changed, or is just one side of the story. when i learned he had use drugs my faith in him died a little, but i still do respect him. if he had not taken it over the top as mush as he did he would have been more sucsessful.

yeah he was a failure in many, many ways but I dont know exactly what he was really trying to achieve I dont think he did either to be honest lolz the drugs he used were mainly psychedelics though, which if you have ever tried will know there's alot more to them than anyone could ever believe, which is why people in the medical community are starting to research them again and are considering them again as an aid in psychotherapy

I was excited at first, then offended, then just disappointed. Crowley may have been a twisted bastard, but the occultism itself was anything but evil, satanic or twisted. Like many geniuses, he went misunderstood, but a lot of that is his own doing, kind of on purpose.
He figured, and rightly so, that if people are too stupid and lazy to understand what he was actually talking about, then they deserve to be misled by their own misconceptions.

I wish they would make a movie that is actually about the life of Crowely. That would be creepy enough, and true. This looks more on the lines of a modern day Jason or Freddy Creuger. Just a creepy, teenager movie, but I still wouldn't mind seeing it.

Having seen the film I agree heartily, it really has to be one of the worst films I have ever seen. He can't write, relies exclusively on sub-Redemption cliches and has no understanding of what Crowley was about at all.
