@CrwackTV You won't die from that (unless you fall), the Lightning goes down the point of least resistance which would be the earthing rod, you'd be fine.
Im from Toronto and don't worry everyone this happens some 800000 times every year. if your in the CN Tower when its struck you barely hear it. The lightning is directed through a long metal poll strait into the ground where the electricity harmlessly fades away.
Ya, good ears, there's an echo present that shouldn't be there. Something screwed up when I converted the file from what my camera uses to something youtube would take. However, the delay between the bolt and sound is actually accurate if I remember correctly as the storm wasn't really overhead at that point, that lighting was travelling a fair distance.
The only way to get more would have been for me to hang over the edge of my balcony. That black line on the right is the roof over my balcony, I was lying on a cot next to the railing which is the black line in the lower left. The lightning was coming from behind the roof in one direction only (the direction you saw), the storm was not directly overhead. So unfortunately that was the most I could get of the bolt. Maybe next spring/summer a similar storm will come from a better direction.
chuck norris was sitting on top eating a corn cobb when this happened, chuck norris had pop corn for dinner

Why not better framing - like VERTICAL?
Show more of the top.
We won't see much when you show the building and not the top.

The CN Tower got hit like Mark Prior's career. Fortunately, the Tower fared far better...
