@DwarfishSpy I am not sure if you can just simply patch your legal version to the LAN version. See the darkblizz website for more details.

all i did was download the 0.88beta and located my legal version. it works.

if you open it via the actual game, it connects to battle.net while using starclient to open it, it opens with starfriend. thanks man :)

@PeruvianHomie 1) Same concept, doesn't matter what VPN program you using.

2) Lower left hand corner of the program.

3) Tunngle...only because I can find a lot of players for a lot of my LAN games outside of SC2 in general. Hamachi has a 16 player network limit...and may god have mercy on your soul as you spend hours, no...days or weeks trying to find a hamachi network and at least 1 person.

4) Yes, but I reformatted. There is a new SF version out now. Waiting for new 1.4.1 patch. - Versatile

@guppo26 Your home network is not setup correctly for some reason. If PC 1 has 127.0.0.1 server, and its IP address is 192.168.1.3, then tell PC#2 to connect to 192.168.1.3. - Versatile

@guppo26 I tried it all.. turns out we had to shut down the server first, then (both?) run Tunngle and then connect to the Tunngle IP. I just tried to connect to 12.0.0.1 or my "external" IP adress. Anyway, it worked out, thanks for you quick response nonetheless :)

The error in Chinese says, "Unable to execute the update. This patch requires the traditional Chinese version of the game. The current installation is the English (EU) version." Not sure what to make of it as I don't have the game nor do I have tried this LAN hack. Though do check to see if your game is in Chinese.

If you abort the upload on 50% it will continues next time you start it. and because there are many users who will put this torrent on their seedbox with much more speed. For my infernal speed I had to stay after blizzard to download it... and the torrents are using all your bandwidth, and it will spread on over all the trackers

@gamedexterity Oh, btw.... there is a bug on the population limit. when you have over 100 you cannot see what is your current limit for ex: you have 120/140, but it says 120/1... the font is different and it does not have enough space...:(

The game screams at you to build more overlords...etc, so just build a crap load of them or supply depots or pylons, and life is good. To help past the time while we waited for our bus, we had an OFFLINE LAN session of Starcraft 2. Where was Blizzard to come to our aid? Oh wait, thats right, we needed the fuckin Internet to play.
