  • The tone is wonderful.. those are Duncan Designed Chinese pickups? :)

Many people think they suck until they hear them because they are so sweet...

the amp is singing the guitar sounds great... you have a great touch, just need to tighten it up a bit ..blues would love the way you plays..

  • @awesomejohnnet Thanks, John. I humbly accept the praise and criticism in equal measure; I could certainly stand to be a cleaner, more synced player. Pups: yeah, I already had replacements waiting, but the stocks sound huge! I put my soldering iron back in the cupboard.

  • @zombielolocaust Thats good because all that matter is the tone not the name.. and you sound fantastic with those pickups.. they sound unique with a very full yet articulate tone.. I am going the definitely buy a splawn,

Its a special Amp for sure...

Again great job and excellent tone good hands, good feel...

Bravo... keep up the great work..

  • @zombielolocaust clean is NOT MEMORABLE, just as PERFECT is NOT LOVEABLE. Nice stuff

  • I keep coming back to watch your uploads. Keep them coming... Great playing and tone..

Some say you can't beat the old 60's and 70's plexis and the new high gain amps sound like cardboard but i can't hear it.

  • @kyledagg Greatly appreciated, Kyle. I love to know when people can hear what I hear in the sound. I'd say some of the new high gain stock Marshalls can sound boxy or "cardboardy", but a lot of these smaller boutique brands generate fantastic rich tone. I watch those movies from the 2010 LA Amp Fest and I'm spoilt for choice!

  • Love the tone! Wish I hadda grabbed 1 of these samicks when they were more plentiful. Near impossible to find in my neck of the woods now.

  • I have a radio ten, and it is quite a little monster, I got mine for $79 at Guitar center, hanging around lonely in the back of the used section...I am so glad I saw it.

  • @metalgod72 What an absolute steal! They are sleepers for sure.

  • i have this guitar in the berrysicle finish. its pretty mean, id like to chat with you about it if you could hit me up on my page. thanks

  • I luv the tone! I have one, would luv to play as much as I want to but it has the guy's signature on it, it erases it a bit every time I play. btw do you use the stock PU there? and you blues man!

  • @Srigede A friend once protected Satriani's signature on his guitar with a sheet of this clear adhesive plastic, cut to size, so maybe you could try that? That is completely stock, yeah. I was all ready to go with the PATB-3 until I found these unassuming little Duncan Designed pickups sound great!

  • @zombielolocaust @zombielolocaust You damn right man! I actually have the PATB-3 as well, I thought there was something wrong with that PU, I had to put back the Duncan Designed, sounded better to me too.

    Thanks, will try the trick.

  • As always, great playing, tone love it bro, stay heavy!

  • I luv the tone! I have one, would luv to play as much as I want to but it has the guy's signature on it, it erases it a bit every time I play. btw do you use the stock PU there?

  • Nice! I love the guitar too. And, I like the older style Competition chasis. Splawn is now using the same long chasis for all their heads, and the new Competion has too much space on the front panel, IMHO.

  • That, right there, is the shit!

  • @mckayc21 Thank you CM! Bit sloppy but there's no denying the big tone.

  • Love the video, playing & tone.....Nice! ......The Samick Tv Twenty is an amazing guitar as well..........Peace! X-Mann

  • @udamann88 Cheers X-Mann! And thanks for your posts on the blog. ;)

  • That is some sweet stuff!!!

  • @thebibleisalltrue Cheers, JD — you'll be back. ;)

  • Sounds Amazing! Tasty playing, I have to go get me a Splawn now =)

  • I love it! Great Suff!

  • More authentic vocals plz

  • Still awesome tone, man. And great playing, too. Are you at bedroom levels again?

  • Thanks, AGF. Not quite sleeping baby levels, but bedroom volume for sure. Killing the volume in the loop. 2nd Gear sounds so fat, doesn't it?!

  • @zombielolocaust Is it still the Competition you're using? And a volume pedal in the loop, is that right? It sounds fantastic!

  • @angrygoldfish Yup, still the Competition, and I'm still finding surprises in it. Actually using a little reverb box for the volume but yeah, principle's the same. Cheers. :)
