I was always the sort of person that kind of laughed at "meditation", thought it was for 'weirdos'. How wrong I was. The truth of the matter is that we have become so quickly dependent on electronic devices and such to the point that biologically we haven't adapted, and so now everyones always in a hurry to get somewhere or do something. People cant have a coffee without texting these days.

I love having 30mins to myself everyday, and truly reflect and live for the moment.

hey guys, ¿have you ever tried meditation?

Its fully recomendable, tough (in my experience) theres some weird things in doing it.

I mean, you enter in another mental dimension.

Im a beginner, and i always stop when i arrive to a point. That point is the weirdest, you begin to experience a total lift from reality, being able to hear and see things you never could imagine.

Thats called "makyo", when you stop because youre afraid.

Its recommended to everyone, but expect weird things.

You dont need much, the word "meditation" always comes with images of lotus position, candles and all that shit.

Trust me, thats useless.

Just find a comfortable and silent place, concentrate on a point (a sound, a word, a mental image... whatever) and try to focus completely, till you forget the place youre in, the time, and even your body.

I mean, try to focus on a point, all your conciousness.

This, and Pranayam practice, are awesome for you.

candles and all that shit actually help me to get more comfortable faster, and i find the flicker of the flame really helps bring that sense of harmony and peace. beez wax honey candles are really great. they leave a very relaxing scent in the air. and scents really trigger relaxation. everyones different though.
