  • I also have a video of my running Neseishi. Not as wonderful as Otsuka Sensei but i would love for you guys to check it out. /watch?v=5e97G19FSpA

  • putain on dirait qu'il a des armures de chevaliers d'argent Saint Seiya derrière lui

  • wadoryu is my life

  • All the techniques have their applications or uses. If i would descibe it, it's a karate style where the distance between you and your opponent is small.

  • @Solution2012 Are you trying to say that no one practices traditional Wado anymore?? If so, I suggest you train with people like Sensei Suzuki, Sakagami or Shiomitsu to see good examples of theindividuals who can show you good Wado. And mixing Wado with Kyokushinkai??? that seems a pretty bizarre mix. Do you still practice the Kihon Kumite of Wado?? I suspect you don't really practice traditional Wado, more one of the kickboxing type offshoots...

  • @cdmbe i've worked out under both Shiomitsu Sensei and Kazataka Sensei ... these guys are SO MUCH what traditional Wado is about ... i highly recommend that anyone who gets the chance to do so, please take the opportunity to work out under such great teachers as these.

  • what i would give to be able to ask sensei some questions about his art.a true master.

  • @zatoichi12345 ,like what? sensei Ishikawa died. what's left is alex and maybe me and a few others, but even the 'original' school here has changed it's style to wado/kyokushinkai.

  • His son split and made Wado Ryu.

    Otsuka Sr. Created Wado Kai.

  • Hironori Ōtsuka first registered his school with the Dai Nippon Butoku Kai in 1938. It was called Shinshu Wadoryu Karate-Jujutsu. Wado Kai came later! His son split after a financial dispute & created Wado Ryu Renmei.

  • Let's get something straight, Hironori Otsuka Sensei created BOTH Wado Kai and Wado Ryu. He created Wado Kai first, but after sometime he realized that his coleagues and most senior students were more interested in talking then in practice, he called them "the suited ones", because they wore more suits than their Gi. So he splitted and created Wado Ryu, as he thought it should be. His son has continued his work in Wado Ryu.

  • In 1938 Hironori Ohtsuka registered his mixed style of karate-jujutsu with the Dai Nippon Butoku Kai, originally under the name of "Shinshu Wadoryu Karate-Jujutsu." Not much later this was shortened to Wado-ryu.

On 5 June 1967, the Wado organization changed the name to Wadokai.

  • Sosai, Arigato Gazimashita

Thank you for creating such an excellent Ryu

    Hai

  • whos the guy in the background 0:34-0:37

  • Probably that black sheep student that is always late and cant fight shit :P

  • wado ryu years ago. that was pure classic. bow to sensei otsuka with respect.

  • fancy moves.alamid

  • look for master tatsuo suzuki performing it, he was otsuka's protoge! much better example.

  • Don't know if he was Sensei Otsuka's protege, but I know that he has changed many things from the forms and concepts used by Sensei Otsuka. Search for videos of Otsuka Sensei performing the Kihon Kumites and then watch Master Tatsuo Suzuki. Don't get me wrong, I do respect and think that Master Tatsuo Suzuki os great, but he is never going to be a better example then master who created the art.

  • well it took a while to find it, but its def the best Niseishi on youtube, nothing like the shit some people try to pass off as the 'actual Kata'.

    good job maurizioorfei

  • he invented wado ryu, thats why!!!

  • Nothing fancy, just pure martial art. A real pleasure to watch the old Grand Master perform.

  • Kata Niseishi eseguito dal maestro Otsuka

  • Sensei Otsuka,

I bow down to you :)
