  • Hi Rams, how can i get a copy of this video? I work for Armac Demolition and was involved with building and designing the lifting frame.

  • I walked the dog round here daily, I thought they were going to keep the building the clock was mounted on because they left it stood there for about a month after the rest has been knocked down. In the end all they've kept is the stone entrance which is still stood there and the clock tower is now situated about where it got dropped on the truck in this vid, they seemed to have made some kind of feature out of it, which seems to be in the middle of the huge car park.

  • lol

rams its a me carlo ;o)

  • Amazing video, Over 100 years gone in months its such a shame. Thanks for sharing. As for the clock tower building i think they should have left that small building alone as a mark of history and so people could see where the old hospital used to stand

  • Nice little vid. I was there all morning filming from the bottom. I'm in this vid from 4m 35s, cheers.

Nice to see these shots from up on the scaffold, I didn't find out it was coming down until the day before.

  • simply an ausome vid there mate. well done. a moving tribute to a hospital.

    OUTSTANDING.!

  • So where is the clock's new home?

  • @towerclock1843 Gone for restoration, then maybe placed on the round-a-bout just off Ab' Rd
