idk if anyone has pointed this out yet, havent read the comments, but the woman who goes with her husband on their honeymoon to the moon is the same woman who voices plankton's wife on spongebob
melon collie and the infinite sadness was the 1st cd i ever owned(actualy 2 cd's), i just got home from school one day, and my dad walked in my room and threw it on my bed and walked out.....didn't say a word...........i was like 10 years old...
What ever a happened to music videos? They used to be so good in the 1980s/1990s. Then they petered off and became all about showing off how movie like you could make it. I still remember this and Black Hole Sun as two of hte most influencial on my, and two of the best.
This is one of the best songs ever! It is so true... You could never leave a relationship without leaving a piece of yourself! Billy you åre still till this day so Awesome 4/2011.
@coriain You can say you like passion pit's version better, but then why in the world are you listening to the ORIGINAL version? When I say original, I mean...yeah it can't possibly get any better. Go back to your home on whore island.
It's horrible to be 16 and knowing that i'll never go to a concert of my favourite bands because all the good music happened in a previous epic time and this hope will never be more than a fairytale.
@PureVibe10 Fail! myspace.com, last.fm, youtube, itunes .... man, you have so many ways to get to know good quality recent music, HARD-FI? ok, maybe not this good, but some songs are cool ... there are tons of bands, even local in your area. If there aren't, start one! 16 is good age to start a band.
@LaserfaceJones Good lord, man. It's not that good. I mean it's good, but if this is the best song you've heard in almost 16 years, you need to listen to more music.
love that the moon look likes an angry chocolate chip cookie...lol...love this song ! this song and perfect are what made me love the smashing pumpkins.:D
@NikBlack20...Im just a black chick born n raised n a poor inner city community. Most my friends dont understand my love for the Smashin Pumpkins...they r not open 2 other genres besides R&B n stuff...but I listen 2 the instrumental, words, EVERYTHING!!! The r soooo talented n I love em! Specially Bullet with Butterfly Wings!!!!
Wow. People really get touchy. I was simply over-exaggerating my distaste of this music. If you like it, by all means continue worshipping it. But let's be clear, I don't like contemporary pop bullshit.
@kirstiShae if your distatse for this music is so great is it realy worth your time to coment and not only that but use a dictonary to make it seem as if your actuly intelegant because if you dont like "This kind of music" Your obviously not
@kirstiShae If your "distaste" for this kind of music is so great then is it realy worth your time to coment on the video multiple times. Not only that but use a dictonary to make yourself seem smart because obviously your not if you dont like "this kind of music"
There are so many incredible rock songs out there that it's impossible to say "this is the best song ever!!!" but this song in carved into stone as one of my top 20 rock songs, by far.
will alternative rock ever be top of the charts again like in the 90's? Or is it dead for good?
These days it's all pop (Katy Perry, Gaga) or hip-hop. I love both of those genres too but I dearly miss this stuff - the music world is lacking without it.

Stop whining about how the music was so much better in the 19XX's. There is great music found in every generation and it's all based around opinion. Once things become mainstream, the inner hipsters in all of us come out to complain about how much better the oldies were. Just enjoy the music for what it is.
