I just hate all the new games that is "all looks and no substance" Baldur's Gate Trilogy is the best Game ever made so Far! No contest! ENd of Story!

I have been playing it on and off for 9 years now. There aint no other game that makes me so sucked in even after 1x times playing it. Course I use some mods to make it abit more intressting here and there. Harder encounters, more NPC's, more items etc etc.

Its so well made that I can't see anyone make a better game within the next 5 years.

@WyczesanyBober Possible...you could still improve some parts of the music - sure some tracks were just epic but some yould be made better and the existing ones could have a better quality as well for even more epicness. And the graphics as you said as well. Gameplay...well you could add some mods as content like saerileth which is in my opp. the best romance of all - and by far ^^

i bought BG1 in 1998 (when i was 9 years old) and since i finished that game, my aim in life was to find a game as epic as that and so far i haven't managed. That game is just too damn awesome.

I would be nearly impossible to make a game of the same scope as Baldur's gate in today's graphically obsessed market...it would simply be too large to fit on any disc.

@gasxero well i doubt that since there are multiple terrabyte discs out there. But no one would finance it as development would probaly take a decade or more. So it is possibly to do so and i have some storylines / sagas in my head that would be much more epic but a a) for a different rp system (which is complicated enough to make into a pc game) and b) i doubt anyone would play a game that needs about 5 times the time you need to finish the Bhaalspawn Saga (all BG games + addons)

@wcdornez Lol, the Flail of Ages goes up to +5, not +6 and at that point in the game it's impossible that you got the last part, the Electric head which means your Flail of Ages can only be +4 against Yaga-Shura.

@Radwar99 My Flail of Ages is motherfucking 6+ be cause after playing BG1&2 for dozens of times through the years, eventually I heard for the character editor, and tried it out of course, in which I found all those numerous items to add to the inventory of your character!!! Just imagine a Kensai wielding DUAL CELESTIAL FURY! Do you know WHAT THAT MEANS!? It really means alot thats what, especially when you are beating the shit out of those underground beholders in the temple district sewers BG2.

I have never felt as powerful, with such a grand destiny, and as just plain badass as in this game, as a solo Wild Mage. Goddamn did things die. There's still Demogorgon down there waiting for me, and this song's made me want to kick his ass and release him again just for shits and giggles, just because I can.

And the most difficult opponent for me? Melissana,of course, and... Lich in Stronghold. Hmm a think about this flying scull. It was very very hard battle and on finalli i lose :/

Kangaxx is not that hard, I call it a win or lose, berserk/Spell Immunity: Abjuration wins the battle, otherwise you lose.

I agree Draconis is nasty, but since his human form cannot even put a dent on a solar, and his dragon form can be easily killed by a Robe of Vecna mage within one TS+IA, it's medium difficulty.

No battle music before or since can beat this little track. It is the most epic, stirring theme I have ever heard, and it never fails to remind me of the battles with Sendai and Yaga-Shura! Oh, and that bastard Balthazar. This music has an amazing calming effect when your characters are all on their last legs, your Planatar and Devas are dead, and he's just called on his Second Wind...

You are just about to confront Yaga-Shura, and his whole freakin' army starts attacking your small party of heroes. Then this music kicks in. It just made it "feel" like you were part of a major story event. Damn.
