  • @rcBitz so with a standard size servo it should work then right it does not have to be a specific one?

  • @TheMCooLKidS1 Yes should be fine. As a check Google your Nitro model and servo and this should unearth a solution. The escision then is how much torque and what speed you need from the servo, if for steering.

  • hello i have a question can you use any servo on rc nitro car im new to this things so idk if i can just buy one and it should fit?

  • @TheMCooLKidS1 I think I'm correct you just need a standard size servo, Depending on your driving style I've always tried to use the best I can afford at the time.

  • i have $295,but i have a truck and i drive to and from school so i need money for gas. can you make a video and show me exactly what you got on yours and tell me how to hook them up

  • hey im new to this and i bought a axial scx 10 dingo kit. it doesnt have any electronics,so im wandering what i should use for a servo, motor, esc, battery, etc. i want to use it for rockcrawling, mudding, and going threw deep water. help is despritly needed!!!!!

  • @my71fordbronco Welcome to this great hobby. You are going to have great fun with your SCX10. Have a look I did a build series on the honcho and this is very similar to the new kit - there are a few changes.

You can get some good entry level electronics for not too much money - how much do you have to spend? Sounds like waterproofing is going to be needed :-)

  • i have bought my first ever rc car trying to get into the rc hobby its a timaya brushless tl-01 subaru 1/10 scale. i got it off ebay witch probaly says alot but it dose not work properly the servo sticks when i press fawerds on the controller or transmitter as they call them i have taken it apart put it back together but it dose not work propery. do you think you can help in any way?

  • @MrNath5150 i think it might have somthing to do with the whole lctrics of the car because when the car is turnt off it still moves when i connect the battry to it

  • @MrNath5150 the servo moves when i make the car go fawerds it has nothing to do with steering then it sticks the car moves an inch and then stops then when i try and make it go back it dose not respond sorry i am going on a bit just trying to give you a good idea of the prblem to see if there is anything you could do if you wish to help me.

  • @MrNath5150 Firstly welcome to this great hobby and sorry for the slow reply.

Sounds like you've not been having much fun. I would start at the beginning, it is worth checking the set-up of you Speed Controller / ESC e.g. the neutral point, forward and reverse. Does the car have any steering? If the car is running when connected just unplug one of the wires to the motor so you can set it up. Sure we can get you there.

  • @rcBitz oh yes i ealise now after doing a little reaserch its the throttle servo that is sticking when i try to move fawerds it moves an inch then stops i fi tunr the car on an just steer the wheels turn fine but then when it is stuck they don't move at all and i can work out why it only move an inch then stops evan though the throttle is stuck? thanks for gettin back to me at this late houre and marry christmas.nice to see a fellow brittish on youtube.

  • @MrNath5150 Did you try resetting the ESC? Are these lights on the ESC? DId you get any instructions with the kit? If not search the names on part numbers on line and you my find some on line manuals.

Yeh is nice to meet with other UK fans. Merry Christmas.

  • @rcBitz i dont kno how to restet the esc it isnt very good on at a rough guess there is no on off switch i guess i might have to get a whole new system esc throttle servo controller or transmitter i think its an old controler not the ones with the the sterring wheel on the side but one with joy sticks like the ones you get with rc helis. and yes i have a manual with the car but i don't understand it really. i guess its just me

  • @MrNath5150 At the start there is so much to learn, you will get there don't worry.

What ESC have you in the car, I will see if I can find details about it.

  • @rcBitz thats very kind pf you thank you. i am not sure what part is the ESC is it the part with the wiers coming out of it if it is that is what keeps sticking and has no cover over it i think it might be custom made or at least it looks like it it is connected to a acoms IC AS-12 servo and a futaba FP-R 122JE AM 2 channel reciever is it those two things that make the ESC? or is it a seperate things? i thank you for your help

  • Good video just throw a horn on the servo so you can visually see the servo move

  • @SaVaGe24 This is good advice. After uploading this I realised my error :-(

  • It was a useful video too... I hope, you will post another such videos in future. :)

  • @nemethai Thank you for your kind comments - I'm always open to suggestions for what people would like to see.
