shows best to buy a decent tent like this one cos snowdonia can be brutal on inferior tent they'd be blown to hell

also snowdonia is the wettest part of the uk i hear so you need a decent and reliable hydrostatic head material which equals cost

quality isnt cheap though but certainly in this case worth the money

always have a bivy bag with your sleeping bag and thermarest though anywhere in wales any time of the year lol

i woke at about 8.30 pm with the top of tent slapping me in the face and stayed awake for the rest of the night. the tent is a terra nova voyager.

Llyn yr Adar! That's one of my fave wild camp spots! That wall's a bit deceptive though as it does little more than make you feel better rather than affording much shelter.

I was there mid December, on the other side of that knoll as that spot was flooded out. In fact, everywhere bar where i camped was too wet to pitch.

I may well have to use my camera phone next time i'm out in them thar hills now!
