@BLACKLACDTS My Duramax has a twin turbo, turbo ported pistons, bigger cams and lifters, headers, exhaust system and edge programmer. My Impreza has headers, 35psi turbo, true dual exhaust system and is also cammed. Plus, I live in Canada, I don't go to Houston too often.

@BLACKLACDTS The Duramax has those upgrades because I need to haul a heavy trailer that I use as my office in the Oil Fields of Northern Alberta. Without those upgrades, the engine has to work too hard which melts my exhaust manifold. I also have air bags to compensate for the weight. And if you want a RWD V8, but a late 90s Firebird, they had a V8 and better power to weight ratio than a truck.

@carlsoto1747 maybe they dont want a firebird due to insurance. step side 2wd 5.3 chevy pickups are fairly light at a lil over 4000lbs which isnt much more then a firbird. i have a friend with a 07 chevy pickup reg cab short bed 2wd with bolt ons,cam,stall and runs mid 12s and uses the truck as a work truck during the day hauling stuff and takes peoples money at night. i dont know if you noticed but trucks are hot now and outselling everything else.all the trucks have 400hp gas motors now

Let's say you have an extended cab Silverado with 450HP and a curb weight of 5200lbs (that's what they're rated at). Then you take a 350HP (my impreza has 400hp) that has a curb weight of 2800lbs. 450/5200= 0.08653846HP/lb. 350/2800= 0.125HP/lb. Whose going to win? The Impreza. PLUS the Impreza is manual, and manual is faster. They race cars in the Grande Prix for a reason.

@BLACKLACDTS You need to learn the value of money. Fuel in Canada is 1.20/per liter (that 4.52/gallon). That 6.2L takes alot of money to feed. And a manual get beat by an automatic? Bahaha, what do they use in F1? Manual paddles, why do supercars come with manual? Because they're faster. If you believe manuals are slower, you clearly don't know what you're talking about. I don't underestimate trucks, I just don't live in a fantasy world.

@carlsoto1747 i dont need to learn anything. i buy what i like. i dont care what fuel in canada cost! i live in america and my 450hp ls2 likes premium 93 octane at $3.80 a gallon .you gotta pay to play! most supercars now are paddle shift which is a form or both auto and manual. you havent been around any fast cars before. a stalled automatic with a shift kit will out run a stick 7/10 times. theres no error like with a clutch. i dont have a 6.2 but i do have a modded 6.0 and it gets 16mpg!

@BLACKLACDTS Yes most supercars are paddles, and I have driven 2 supercars. You ever hear of Chris Versteeg? He plays in the NHL and lives in the same city, and we're friends and used to play on the same hockey team. He has an Audi R8 and a Aston Martin DBS. I've driven both. The paddles are more manual, since you MANUALING shift your gears. You little shift kit is just extra money I can spend on a car. I can take my subaru, add the same amount of $ and be faster. Simple as that.

@BLACKLACDTS Auto have those gears for towing and offroading. I HIGHLY doubt you can buy a 150 thousand dollar car and the insurance. That extra couple would buy a few mods. IF YOU TAKE the stock version of a 403HP Silverado and stock version of my STI (300HP) the power to weight ratio is STILL in the favour of the IMPREZA. Adding the same mods only increase the ratio uniformly. You clearly have this forgone conclusion that trucks are the new supercars. It's pointless to show you the truck.

@1slowZ71 I put an extra turbo in there by mistake asshole. The pistons are Banks Performance Duramax Diesel - Big Grunt, they've been cut to allow cleaner burn. Headers exist dipshit, and the Edge Performance programmer has a pyrometer to allow me to watch the exhaust temp. This programmer also has the ability to add horsepower and torque. It's called an Edge Evolution, adds upto 100HP and 210ft lbs of torque. Learn to spell and do research.
