  • Thanks for responding.I think your title is just fine. I have viewed another video from a Museum that uses a DaVinci title as well. Who knows maybe DaVinci did some drawings of some type of fly-ball mechanism. I would almost be surprised if he didn’t.

  • @TheWindGinProject Thanks for your help as well. I am always interested in design, and my wife is an interior designer. She used this clock in one of her projects. I personally would love to have one for myself.

  • @G0LFMADE What a neat idea to use a clock like this to add to an interior design theme. Not too many people would know of such a unique conversation piece that also serves a useful function. Personally, I’m into CAD and have drawn out something that uses this type of thing. I’m not over optimistic but it will be a fun experiment.

  • @TheWindGinProject Well if you ever get it completed let me know, I'd love to see it in motion.

  • @G0LFMADE OK, I'll be sure to send you a video if it works or update you with the results at minimum. I plan on sending the files to the laser cutting service pretty soon. I have a couple of projects ahead of it but I look forward to the simple experiment. Thanks

  • @TheWindGinProject Sounds great. I was lucky years ago in my high school CAD classes we had access to a laser cutter. It wasn't very high-tech I'm sure compared to today, but it was still a fun way to not only design things but cut them out and implement them. Best of luck on the project.

  • its not daVinci.

he delineate the prinzipe of pendulum escapement in 1494, not the flying pendulum.

    J. C. Slafter and Adler Christian Clausen apply a US Patent at August 23, 1883.

US Patent number: 286531, Issue date: Oct 9, 1883, Nickname: Ignatz

  • Thanks for the video. I’m interested in this escapement and I’m confused by the name DaVinci being associated with the flying pendulum escapement. I’ve read that a man in Minnesota invented this clock around 1883 I think. Does anyone know if there are any DaVinci drawings that show this type of escapement? I have a book on DaVinci’s works and have tried to find any reference online with no luck.

  • @TheWindGinProject If the name of my video in reference to this clock is incorrect I'll change it.

  • Perpetual Motion

  • nice clock
