So..the best all-around icehockey player in the world has quit. If to be honest I cried when I saw the news here in Sweden (like many others did), he is my idol and I adored watching him in the games and on the news when I was younger. His skills with the puck, the hits, the passes that is so good that you can't really believe it. I will miss #21 very much, like MANY else will. A god in a human form that played icehockey like noone else. He has touched so many people, especially me. Forsberg <3

Foppa was the whole package---no doubt about it. He was such a smart player too; right up there with Gretzky. Half his game was simply making opposing players overreact to his moves, opening up time & space for him to dish the puck off to a Sakic, Kamensky, Hejduk, or Lemieux, (etc...) It was always a wonder to behold watching Pete, with the puck on his stick, skating around in the other team's zone zigging & zagging and shifting gears like a magician, with no one able to get it away from him.

Also remember he played in the trap years for most of his career and still produced like crazy. He sat out a whole season due to injury. Came back for the playoffs and led the playoffs in scoring despite the Avs getting knocked out in the West finals. That is dominance. If his ankle had held up there is no telling what he could have done.

MODO har ju köpt många spelare i vår, men dom har ju bara köpt skit. De är bara därför alla modoiter kastar skit på klubbar som FBK. Hade MODO varit nog bra lag så att fler stora spelare hade varit intresserade hade de nog låtit annorlunda. Då hade de nog helt plötsligt varit ok att "köpa ihop" laget!
