Not against you, man, but I didn't like it. Don't get me wrong, it's some good music here, but Digital Bath is my favorite song ever, and I thnk that when you remix or cover a song, of course you've got to add your things, but you also have, in my opinion, to keep the original spirit of the song, what you didn't here. But still some good music to hear, really.

I just saw the film and although the original is my very favorite film of all time, I was impressed with this new version. This new version lacked two factors, which ironically made the original a classic. Had this new version had those two factors - the opening and closing- it would have been a much better film. Keanu Reeves was appropriate because although is not a great actor, the role of Klaatu was not an emotional character, so Reeves fit the bill. Overall, I give it a thumbs up.

Exactly, you couldn't be more right. The movie was one of the best I have seen. But when the movie finished I was left with this empty feeling, cause it felt like it needed an appropriate ending to it. It needed something more at the end. The ending was too cold. I give you a thumbs up!

I agree. Klaatu's closing monologue in the original was priceless and a classic. It summed up his reasoning for everthing that happened. The new version ending was empty and cold, as if to say, ok, you Earthlings agree to change now that you are threatened, ok, bye bye.

In essense, it was ok at face value but if comparing to the original, it was in no way as great as the original.

If this is the opening theme and used as incidental music throughout the film, it is quite good, but I will first see the film on opening day then will give my comments on the music and film. The original is my favortie film of all-time, so this means very much to me. The original film's soundtrack was a priceless masterpiece, and nothing can top it. Bernard Herrmann was a genius.

Well being the person that wrote the music, i have to say that this will not be in the film since no one has approached me to put it in there. So expect something else in the movie :)

Tyler Bates is composing the music for the actual film. His work includes 300, Dawn of the Dead, Doomsday, upcoming Watchmen. However no he is not even up to par with movie composer TITAN Bernard Herrmann.
