"Drums and Wires" still, STILL sounds better than most so-called Rock records these days. It slayed me in 1979 and still puts a smile on my face thirty+ years on. Oh, XTC, please do us ALL a favor and make one more record.
I answer Yes to all of the above. Yep, add to the list, "babbling like a nervous twit." : -)))) My brain and mouth do not function on the same wave length, BUT when you are near one that somehow makes you feel, all warm and fuzzy inside well that is when the real difficulty arises. This very truthful, little lyrical-wonder is genius. The music makes you feel what I do and it is so magical that I cannot decribe "IT" at all.: -)))) XTC, are truly amazing. Peace and Love to all. ; -)
i agree i am a 41 year old detroit techno artist been doing it a long time. XTC is the one group I have loved and followed for so long. Some of the projects I have worked on hit a barrier cause the lyrics must stand up to Andy and Colin's work. Huge benchmark!
Where can I find some of your work???? Would be fun to hear it and let you know what I think. I am very good with hearing talent. : -))))))) I can not believe the talent is out there not heard. You could be one of those. : -)))) That would be neat. So answer me, Please!!!!! Peace and love!! My special friend introduced me to XTC and I have just been a fan since then. :-)
1979- these dudes we're blowing the competition out of the water! The guitar on this moves it into overdrive.

Brilliance. The first two lines describe me around any gorgeous girl I am attracted to, still to this day after 47 years.

I used to be an Iceman, living in an Iceman Town....reminds me of Snowman on English Settlement. Brilliant tune wrapped around fantastic lyrics.
