  • A+ Magnific!...

  • Sometimes it looks like similar things are happening at the same time. A trolley crossing in front of the camera, a guy crossing the street, a cyclist comes into view on the right. At one point a horse cart comes up on the side in 1906 and a pick up truck in the same spot in the 2005 version. Fascinating.

  • Would you mind if I use this video in my classroom to show 'then and now' about the present and the past?

  • @peachrosesx2 Not at all.

  • Fascinating and fantastic thank you so much

  • fascinating thanks for posting this

  • Amazing. Simply - amazing.

I thought about shooting the trip down market street as a homage when I was in San Fran a year or two back - but didn't think I could do it justice.

And having seen this, I know I could never have done it even a fraction as well.

    Just ... brilliant!

  • Wait....at 7:36 in the 2005 version is that a dude riding a bicycle across the street wearing a Red cape? LMAO

    Awesome video otherwise lol

  • Great job with the beautiful and favorite nostalgic background music- thank you.

Posted also on FB - amazing how in the scheme of things, all the people on the left of the screen are likely gone :(. Somehow reminds how we make a mark in the larger picture of our short earthly life. Unfortunately, some forget what is truly important – wishing you a blessed Easter ~

  • Simply outstanding....Thank you for this!

  • That was fascinating and rather freaky at times, a déjà vu, seeing a street car or a bicycle pass on both sides 100 years apart around the same frame. The soundtrack was lovely.

  • fascinating viewing

  • Adding the hauntingly beautiful soundtrack from "somewhere in time" makes your post worth watching over and over and over again. Thanks so much for giving your musical contribution so much thought.

  • @abowen2 Your most welcome, glad you enjoyed it.

  • @Eightbanger Do you mind if I use this footage for a music video?

  • @feldiken1 Not at all, be my guest.;)

  • The creator of this video did a fantastic job. Good job with the music. It's very fitting. Thanks for posting this.

  • Do you think those kids thought their faces would be etched into history?

  • I am impressed. Great editing, great choice of music... everything. And this is terribly, terribly touching. Watching this is an incredible, moving experience. Thank you.

  • this is an amazing video that shows the hardwork you put into it as you had set it up with the right timing for each frame. simply exquisite.

  • @hannaley46 Thank you for the compliments, but I'm afraid I cannot take credit for the creation of this video, I just added the music and posted it.

  • This is an awesome short. I don't even LIKE San Francisco and I thought this 'ride' was wonderful. Have you given thought of selling copies?

    Greg
