@sophsoph456: No. That's actually normal. Many fans prefer the fluffy, cuddly yet misunderstood Beast to the almost drawn-like-a-girl Prince he becomes in practically every version of the story. But, the story about Beauty and the Beast & from the Beast's perspective, he sees himself as a hideous...well...beast when he's transformed, longing to be human again, hence why Belle/Beauty is there to fall in love, break the curse, and live happily ever after.
