I have friend that's transitioning and is on her second year of hrt her attitude changed alot we use to be good friends but she push me away I know some things were my fault but I notice the change after she started smoking weed alot and I read that their is testosterone in weed is that true? when I was young I played Violin and the thumb just CAN"T go over the top you can't play that way. Playing guitar you can get away with it but you have good technique when you are playing the leads by keeping your Thumb down. And I find that hard to do. btw, I was not the guitarist you are now when I was your age. Keep at it. I still only play half ass.

I admire you. Here in Texas a lot of guitarists like myself have this bad habit of playing with the thumb up above the neck....You have a really good technique and manage to keep that thumb so incredibly low that I am envious....you make me want to play metal.

@Jesslyngirl87 Keeping the thumb parallel to the back of the neck is more of a classical guitar technique. The advantage to that is that you can reach farther with the fret hand pinky and play certain notes without shifting your fret hand.
