  • How this song so does ring a bell for all of us. At times, How this song makes me think of you my Love.

And all of the things and places we went to and did. My heart aches within this man, for I miss all of the things about you,

the warmth of your body and soul at night, the smell of your hair, and the soft gentle touch you always had.

How I miss you and always,, at Christmas, even more than you'll ever know.

I know, I will see you in the heavens above, and my sweet woman,

    "I Love You"

  • Nice video hope you upload some more I'll be back

  • marilyn monroe was not everything she wanted to be, hollywood made money off her and hide her real talent, she was normal as any one of us, wanted a job husband house and kids and most of all love.

  • i always wondered if dolly would be a legend in a hundred yrs ,,like bach

  • marilyn monroe eternal diva! I love you so much if I could go back in time just to see you,

  • welcome...visit GPABSKY.com website for the ARTIST. thank you!

  • These two have often been compared. There was once a book about Dolly titled Dolly Parton: The Marilyn Monroe of the Mountains. I always thought that was cute. Both my idols in one title (=

  • we should steal the dna of both james dean and marilyn. then combine them. WE HAVE THE TECHNOLOGY. think of what we could create!

  • @wesleytj yea good thinking Dumby. you would come up with a lizby/fago

  • It's hard to believe that Marilyn would be 84!

  • It's hard to believe that Marilyn would be 84!

  • Female artists relate to Marilyn. Females relate to Marilyn. She's so perfect and courageous and doomed.

Her life trumped all her movies.

  • Marilyn is not dead. I am very relieved to announce that her soul was reborn into a woman by name of SherrieLea Laird! Its true! Reincarnation will happen to everyone of us!

  • Marilyn and Dolly are two of the most Pretty Ladys ever !!! Dolly sings like the smokey mountain angel ! : D

  • Mariyn is so beautiful,

and Dolly Parton is such an amazing singer!! x

  • @fembotflo Dolly was extreemly beautiful when she was younger. And she still is...

  • So soulfelt , she is pure Country magic .

  • Really nice. thanks.

  • Thankyou for showing the many times of her life that she was happy and loved life. She will be the top of any chart for beauty and personality. There will never be another one like Marilyn. To have Dolly sing was the topping on the cake. I nearly cried........nearly...lol

  • Excellent choice.

  • brilliant

  • wonderfull video, it's very touching

  • Marilyn Monroe has never been matched by any woman for her beauty, she didnt deserve the hand she was dealt by life..she is now an angel ,protecting the same as she ,vunerable and shy and weak and innocent.

  • love them both! great idea for a video. thanks for sharing.

  • Thank you....two beautiful and talent women...

  • Two great and beautiful legends!! both so beautiful and they became the tops of the world and the world love them God bless Marilyn and Dolly!!..Dolly sings like a angel!!

  • merilyn was pretty! she should b alive i wonder what she wouldve looked like if she aged...

  • Why did Marilyn die?

  • overdose

  • officialy because of an overdose, but other say she got killed

  • Well, if a famous person dies from an overdose, they're not going to admit they overdosed themselves. They're gonna say someone else overdosed them.

  • She was murdered with an enema. Read Donald Spoto's book. It's the only one based on FACTS and actual documentation. She was rehired and getting ready to re-marry Joe DiMaggio.

  • the kennedy;s killed her some say?????????????

  • B.S!!!

  • Because nothing gold can last.

  • Dolly found the perfect thing for this song. I loved Marylen she always seemed so fragile and loving. They used her so much. That her flame burned out early. I look at these pictures and her Dolly and almost cry.

They treated her like a item that could lay golden eggs. Not even human.

God bless you Dolly for making this and tribute it to one more Hollywood tragedy.

  • She was SO different from her on screen airhead persona - a lovely, graceful, gentle, intelligent woman.

  • My two favorite blondes! Love this video!

  • still sounds great, yer gotta love Dolly and yes, this goes great with the pics of the Devine Miss M :)

  • thank you for helping me find photo!!!!! you are awesome!!!!! A+++++++

  • NO Jewel sounds like Dolly Parton, Shes the original

  • Bitter sweet christmas song!!!

  • Another thing to thank the Kennedys for!

    Some of us still remember.

    CHI-Town Monk

  • I watched the newscast about Marilyn's death. I still don't believe she took her own life. Lawford and the Kennedy's had something to do with it...she knew too much...

  • this is one of my fav xmas songs...sad but great

  • hey auguy why do you feel its sad its just real life

  • A little compassion for the left behind may not be out of place - think about it. Marilyn has moved on to a better place with no more pain and all the love she never received on this plane ... Thanks Dolly, for a this lovely song in memory of Marilyn and also thanks to howie345 for the picture show

  • I sent this to my ex-mother-in-law. Major Marilyn fan and this song is so sadly perfect.

  • nice one 5

  • Love this song! I feel soooo sorry for Marlyn Monroe it seems she had everthing yet she had nothing.

  • Mariyn Monroe:

Sun in Gemini, Moon in Aquarius.

    Dolly Parton:

Sun in Capricorn, Moon in Virgo.

Although Marilyn had nothing in Earth signs, Dolly's in-depth horoscope probably has some Air (possibly rising).

Nevertheless- what they "do" have in common is not as noticeable.

Both were born on a Gibbous Moon (when the Moon looks like a football). And their Sun and Moons are basically in Trine; and both have Sun and Moons with matching Elements.

    Quite fashionable!

  • Awesome two legends one video so very cool I like it a lot.

  • marilyn and dolly together, what we want more...alex

  • This is so bittersweet. It makes me cry coz its perfect song for marilyn monroe she had it all but it was never whats she really wanted yet she just kept her head high and continued on.

  • LOVE Marilyn Monroe and Dolly Parton 2 great and beautiful women!!!

  • i love it!!!

  • This is my all time favorite song and video.

    Great job!

  • Earth Angel!

  • I have a picture of, Marilyn just hanging over my computer. She was so beautiful yet her eye's were full of so much sadness! May she be in a happier place!

  • beautiful ----just plain beautiful!!

  • i cant tell wich is wich????????????

  • All photos are of Marilyn, the song is written and performed by Dolly.

  • a tribute to my 2 favorite ladies, ever. thank you!!

  • beautiful dedication to MM

  • love it!

  • thanks for song and nice pictures of Marilyn.

  • when i was 14, M.M. touched me and winked at me. Big deal ha!! Now im 67, remember it clearly. Was at Madison Sq. Garden. Ringling circus opening nite.

  • Perfect, just summed up my day for many reasons, I play this song in my darkest hour, seriously gets me through silly but true..

  • top song

  • craig

    fantastic song.well done dolly

  • Unforgettably beautiful

  • Thank you for this video it hit's home!

  • beautiful.

  • OUTSTANDING

  • Back when beauties were allowed to be soft and full figured, just like a real woman.

  • Arthur Miller, with his marriage to Marilyn, became the hero of nerds everywhere.

  • Dolly's voice and Marilyn's pictures are just beautiful together........wonderful!

  • This is a video I come back to often; beauty, talent, tragedy; thank you to both Dolly and Marilyn, dynamic energy!!!!!

  • thise song remains me of my mum when she whent throw all the pain wiv the beatings and the pain love u mum keep going strong

  • What stunning beauty, humor and talent that was Marilyn Monroe. Sadly, she could not see it. It speaks to the idea that those who seem to have it all, sometines feel like they have nothing. The demons that haunt us all our lives from childhood can be a killer if we let them. Marilyn's early death was a lesson to all: Don't let the demons rob you of your truth. She was thought of as trashy because like most people in pain, she made poor decisions that reflected badly, but all-in-all, lovely...

  • I have been a Marilyn fan for over 20 years. At first I was was drawn to her by her glamour etc, but after learning more about her life, I now look at what she achieved given all her troubles and short life and in my own small way it gives me hope.

I found your comment very touching-I try to fight my demons everyday.

    Thank you.

  • What an amazing video. This is one of my favs by Dolly.

  • What a perfect tribute to Marilyn, the song is as beautiful as she is. Marilyn lives on in all our hearts. A true american beauty.

  • i have loved this song since i was little, dolly is a legend as is the film the best litle whorehouse in texas its hysterical. way to go dolly u are an amazing person i wish i had ur energy hun xx

  • What a beautiful job you've done here, thank you so much!

  • The combination of this song and the images is heartbreaking.

  • Great combination of two stars. Thanks

  • I Love this song I love dolly and marilyn

  • dolly is a goo0d singer and one of the greastest woman in country music. and Marilyn Monroe isd a great actor and singer of her time to R.I.P Marilyn Monroe.

  • Wish they had the movie version on YouTube, with all of the gals singing with Dolly. That was the best version. This one is still GREAT though.

  • In my opinion, this is Dolly's best aside from Coat Of Many Colors. No matter, a class act, inside and out.

  • Since Monroe died before I was born, when I see her photos oer movies I don't believe that she was real. How could somthing be so beautiful and talented and sexy and everything? It's not possible. Love you too, Dolly! This song alone makes me cry.

  • I agree with you 100% i have loved both of the fine Ladies since i was little kid. Beauty is wrapped up in both Dolly and Marilyn. God Bless

  • great vid my two idols its just amazing

  • what a great song

  • wow. amazing pics....never seen most of those before and on a second note: never heard the song quite this way before, either so more kudos to you. exceptionallly done!

  • What a moving tribute. I love it!!!!

  • Monroe would have loved that one- I,m sure. That one had a lot of class. The type Marilyn would have really appreciated

  • wow!!! howie, you are an amazing artist. thank you so much for letting us watch this.

everything about it was if the song and marilyn were meant to be.....

  • Marilyn Monroe & Dolly Parton are two of my favorite women of all times. They are beautiful, and ever so kind, sweet and talented, and oh so many people envy them for it and would have loved to take them down a notch. These two peroxide blondes truly inspire me. So don't go dissing on blondes, fake or real.

  • What a beautifully sad combination!

  • I have considered this song the best thing from the movie version of Best Little Whorehouse in Texas. It is more poignant seeing howie235's interpretation of Marilyn. For the first time it almost gives me a tear.

  • this is 5 star and this song brings me to my knees at christmas..this is me in a nutshell..maybe Ill die my hair maybe Ill go somewhere//depression is a killer

  • Bravo!!!

  • This is so perfect, a great combination - the two women I wanted to be when I grew up, lol. Dolly's songs are so plentiful and perfect, they are great for any mood or stage of life - I couldn't ever pick a favorite, she is such a great artist!!!

  • Very effective.......Marilyn was fragile and Dolly is beautiful...a moving description of depression.

  • This song gave me chills...

  • Depression is a theif, it takes your joy, which manifests in self destruction, so many have succumbed , many in the public eye, many known only by friends and family members, sometimes even love is not strong enough to rescue one from depression..no one chooses to be depressed and tormented.

  • But it fits good together with the song and the video

  • Yes, Marilyn's pics are illustrating the story Dolly is singing about...I wonder if her song was inspired by M. or just a very smart video man

  • Dolly has nothing to do with Marilyn.I love them both. This is a goof combo.Good try.

  • This is such a great video and song. It touches your heart. Good on you for posting this.

  • Two of my favorite women combined in a great video. Good job!

  • lovely, nice song, great photos

  • It seems marylin was a lost soul, i feel so bad for her, it seems people around her were a bunch of bums, that were not looking out for her best interest. great sad song.

  • what a great video..

  • My mom died April 06. Last Christmas, I heard this song and went to pieces. This year wasn't that easy. However, I am not crying right now....and that's a good thing. Marilyn was awesome. Of course, I remember wen BLWH came out. This song made me fall in love with Dolly. "Me, I'll fine and dandy."

  • sorry about your mom

  • Thganks.

  • Bless u and ur mom. Just remember that this life that we experience here on earth only is temporary - everlasting love and acceptance is always waiting for us in heaven!

  • Awesome

  • Nice tribute to Marilyn

  • I LOVE this song

  • love it !!

  • I adore this song,Dolly brings QUALITY to a song that no-one else can .. cathy

  • I love this song!

  • Marilyn is a doll , beautiful, so much , congratulations , Thanks for this video !!!!

  • It's not Christmas until I hear this song!!

  • I totally agree!

  • This is absolutely the best Christmas song ever made, and sung by Miss Dolly herself. She is awesome. It is quite nice living in Dolly's home state, and 30 minutes from her theme park (Dollywood) I see and hear alot about Dolly all the time. She even does some concerts here once in awhile, and its great. Thank you for posting this video/slideshow Marylin was one beautiful girl.

  • wonderful

    thank

    Grazia Italy

  • I looked for this song everywhere and the video is such a great and bittersweet combination.. Great job

  • i dont feel like its christmas until i hear dolly sing this song

always had hard candy and not much else at christmas

  • beautiful song!

  • oh my god , i was looking for that song, thanks for adding marilyn, made it even more awesome.

    blondes rule!

  • I knew when I first head this song sung by Dolly there was something haunting in it that did not fit Best Little Whorehouse. It had a lot more meaning than the movie. And this is really it. RightOn Dolly.

  • This is the most beautiful tribute to the most beautiful woman to ever walk the earth. We love you Marilyn Monroe

  • It's sad, but as a teenager, I was never allowed to see any of Marilyn Monroe's movies. She died when I was 17, so I have come to see her as one of the most beautiful actresses in Hollywood and have seen all of her movies now that I am an oldie. And I love this song. What a tribute.

  • AWESOME. Hard Candy Christmas and your Photo tribute of teh Great Norma Jean aka Marilyn Monroe, a proud viewer. brought tears from both.

  • Love 'em both!Love how Marilyn held her head high even when judgemental people criticized her. They remind me of eachother,Dolly and Marilyn.

  • Love this song. Dolly sings this in the film- The best little whorehouse in Texas. Bit of a crappy film but highly entertaining and some good songs from Dolly.

  • very nice tribute to a person like Marilyn

  • Nice tribute - She was so beautiful - so unique - check out The Ultimate Mariyn - these people knew the real MM!

  • best song by dolly best singer for lady country

  • Maryln Monroe reminds me of Anna Nicole Smith.

  • you mean to say, Anna Nicolse Smith reminds you of Marilyn Monroe. The original came 50 years before the dumb money grubbing whore who liked drugs as well.

  • When you said dumb money grubbing whore who liked drugs, I'm not sure if you're talking about Anna or Maryilyn.

  • Anna definatly. Marylin came with a lot of baggage dumped on her by family, foster and fame seeking controling men. JFK for one!

  • Sometimes I think Anna Nicole WAS the reincarnation of Marylin Monroe. It may sound crazy, but they were so much alike in so many ways. It kinda makes ya wonder

  • She impersonated what she THOUGHT was Marilyn. Anna Nicole didn't actually have the brains, looks, or the talent that Marilyn had. She was a very poor imitation.

  • check out my new Dolly Parton video of JOLENE -Thanks, Howie

  • cute video! great song :)
