  • I wish they made ones that allow you to turn the brush bar off to protect bare floors.

  • I have no problem with the dust cup set up but I would at least get the F&G set up so it will have more airflow because there is much more surface area on the bag and it will not be messy to empty. But none the less your mom has a really nice sanitaire. it looks like she takes really good care of it!

  • and the bag is their so the air can escape

  • Ur parents have a maid? Wow that's cool man

  • @FGelevators Yes they do, but she only comes once a week. Lol im still on the search of an old vacuum looking like that one, and i cant find it anywhere at any thrift stores. A guy at a vacuum store told me that my best bet is to order those, cuz most thrift stores wont have 1950s ones looking like the Sanatire.

  • thats a nice one. what bag type doe it take?

I have an old Hoover convertible, i takes a type "C" i had a hard time finding a bag for it so i had to go to a specialty Vacuum shop.

  • @GMSamuelRhine It does not take a bag because it is a dust cup vacuum. Where did u get ur hoover? I really want an old vacuum. I have a 1999 dirt devil featherlite, but i also want an old hoover. Those r so hard to find. Once I found a hoover concept 1 at Savers, but the brush was taken apart and the screws for the bottom plate were missing, so it was hard to fix. I am still searching for an old hoover. Every thrift store i go to, i only see modern vacuums.

  • @elevatortimes I got my Hoover when I was in Springfield, Missouri. There was a store there that sold lots of old used vacuums and did repairs. If you ever head out to a rural area be sure to check for some around there, I've found lots of really old stuff there.

  • @GMSamuelRhine Well, I finally found a Hoover convertible at Goodwill for 15 dollars after going to almost all the goodwills and savers in El Paso. I will have a video of it soon and it will replace the Dirt Devil featherlite, considering that the dirt devil is not this great. The Hoover is gonna need a makeover, like a lot of things r gonna be replaced. What year is ur hoover from? Mine is from 1984.

  • @elevatortimes mine is from around the early 70s about not sure of the exact year. i think i had to replace a belt in mine.

  • @GMSamuelRhine Well, watch the video of the review of my hoover convertible. Does the body look exactly like mine? If the switch to turn it on is black, its from the 1980s. If not, then from either the 60s or 70s. As a request, please show how ur hoover looks. I can tell u what year it might be from. Also show the serial number.

  • @elevatortimes ah i can't remember i'll have to look, ill charge up the cam and try to get in a vid of mine.

  • @GMSamuelRhine

The first red Sanitaires, according to Sanitaire's official website, were introduced in 1972.

  • It's almost like the Eureka Boss vaccuum model#1934 also many Hoover uprights are like this.

  • @andersonvillas1277 Im trying to find an old vacuum just like that one. Those old style ones are made for commercial use. Back than, those were made for household use. Im trying to go to a lot of Savers and Goodwills, but I cant find those old style ones. Most people who have those trashed picked them, which i think is not right. I once found a concept 1 at savers, but it was taken apart, like the screws for the bottom panel were missing and it could not be fixed.

  • @elevatortimes They stil;l make the 1934 but it has to be ordered on line as for old ones just keep looking.
