As far as psych drugs shortening life spans, perhaps thats true in the long run but for people who have reached the end of their tether, drugs most certainly prolong life. I've seen some horrible things bother people who most definitely would've killed themselves had it not been for the help of meds. So people who would've killed themselves in late teens felt better within a couple of weeks on meds. Had it not been for the hope and action of meds many people would not be here. Nice to read this!

I just realized that there was a couple of points in my life that I was suicidal because I wasn't working and I had to depend on others to pay my way and I was being judged by everybody in my family and it put me in a state that I was holding them back and it would be better that I wasn't around but a friend of me told me that I got a lot to live for and why. I can relate the people need to be understood because at that point I wanted to be understood.
