@MrRowrow22 hahaha my dad would be even more upset! 5 months later is a bit of time for a reply, sorry bout that but what exactly do i need to get started? just a turntable?
@ilovebmx27 A turntable with weight, height and skate ajustments, and a direct drive with atleast 1.6 kg of tracking force. Then you'd want a scratching needle and also a turntabalist mixer. I use the Numark Tt200 for my table, Numark M6 mixer and shure M44-7 for my needle.
the thing thats dope about qbert is that hes not just crab scratchin as fast as he can for as long as he can. he accents the scratching and makes it seem lazy. fuckin dope.
I wish they would have shown his hand on the mixer @ 2:10 . Because he's like quickly fading out the drums and fading in the sample. That shit is fucking crazy.
@dmx4u2nv either the break on "superduck breaks" lp (used here), or the original from which it was taken which is "little bad johnny" by t-la rock - i believe i have little bad johnny in my videos
@clancer18 I do! I'm really young, and right now, the only thing on my christmas list is a turntable. no one my age is interested in this kinda stuff.
He makes Mad Beats!!!! love his music got a cd of his in my car that i listen to all the time!!! I think the cd i have is cosmic assasins or wave twisters, LOVE HIS MUSIC!!!
I'm not sure about the 2nd, but the first *could* be super duck breaks, since it has that break on it and is one of the originals. The 2nd one might be 100 MPH Backsliding Turkey Cuts, Not sure.
word..90's djs are dope..now most suck and play radio airplay garbage..minus the scratchin and cant mixtape for fuckin shit..like if u listen to radio djs..they suck
thats right radio dj's suck.. but not the others, i mean have you ever listened to Dj Jazzy Jeff, Dj Alchemist, Dj Premiere, Dj Guru , Dj AM(R.I.P) etc... if you listened at least to jazzy jeff you know that we still have good dj's
oh hell ya i do premiere nd jeff are fuckin dope..i mean the radio dj's around here in boston suck they mixtape the top 20 songs over for like an hour..it sucks...i dnt think ive heard one scratch or scribble on the radio..which is fuckin sad
mid to late 90s is my favourite era for scratching, the style was musical but still had the rawness of the earlier years, some of the later scratching just seems to technical for the sake of it
@rae1208987 Hope i'm not preaching to the converted here but you can find these samples on practicaly ANY battle weapons, i have about twenty battle records and i don't think i could name one that didn't have the "makin' me itch" or the "aahh" sample. Like i said though if you're allready into battle mixing and looking for that specific one then it's my bad!! (those samples are really easy to find though). Later!!
@rae1208987 It's one the most famous battle break of all time - "Toasted Marshmellow Breaks". The beat is from another famous battle break called "Super Duck Breaks" by Babu.
