  • well that's totally wrong, I own an RX-7 twin turbo, and I have had the chance to work a lot under the hood. The motor is definetly placed way behind the weels, as opposed to this animation.

I think this animation represents the older version of the RX7 (FC3S) where the motor was placed higher and more up front.

And yes, the RX-8 has a 2 rotor N/A (high compression) wankel engine. Definetly doesnt work well with turbocharging, unless you change the rotors for lower compression ratio

  • This is a Official Mazda animation.

  • imagine a turbo setup for the rx8 ;)

  • there is no cam or valves in a rotary engine retard, but the joke was good :P

  • of course, you get the idea though :D

  • Rx-8 has TWO rotors... And it's not so slower, if you consider it's not Twin Turbo. Try to upgrade it with the GReddy Turbo Kit and then you see which one is faster ;-)

  • I OWN a fucking Rx-8 it's a TWO rotors engine...

    2 x 654cc, 231 hp

  • Renesis is ONLY 2 rotors.

  • uhh you can only find a tri-rotor from the cosmo line. 20B engine series are the tri-roters these engine u see on this video or 13B engine series.

  • It is sort of this animation! RX-8 progressed technically from RX-7.And also from the rotary engine being lightened, the compact itevolved. And I purchased RX-8.
