@600joe 1 international built the 6.0 also know as the vt365. 2 the 6.0 has cast iron heads. dont believe me. find a 6.0 and put a magnet on the heads..... the dmax has always had aluminum heads and now the 6.7 powerstroke has them but the 6.9, 7.3, 6.0 and 6.4 powerstrokes and idi's have iron heads

I have an 02' 5.4L. Towed a 4 place inclosed snowmachine trailer from texas to Alaska fully loaded (not kiddy) when I first got it. Great motor, never let me down.... until this winter. Coming home from work, blew out a sparkplug, taking with it the coil pack. I hate having to do helicoil work outside at -20, but lucky for me I at least had a friend that had a kit for doing helicoils on the 5.4L. Still driving it, and no more problems. 105,000miles.
I prefer Ford trucks to Dodges and Chevys/GMCs, but I dont see why they made such a big deal about 3 valves! I mean, 3 valves is not that amazing considering all or most European and Japanese cars have 4 valves per cylinder (some VWs and Audis used to have 5).

Oh I bet chevy didn't want you to hear that their engine is making gobs more torque at just 550rpms difference. It's even more silly if you throw a 5.7l HEMI or toyotas 5.7L v8. Ford and Chevy cant come close to the amazing power the Dodge and Toyota engines are making.
