Great cover! I agree with the comment you made a year ago about The Aftermath. I haven't checked to see if you've done a cover for that one, but it'd be great if you could. I'm practicing Passage of Time in my spare time for the hell of it, so I appreciate these videos. I'm not quite as experienced as you are from the looks of it, so it's nice to use these videos as reference/inspiration.
Thanks dude I'll check it out, if its anything like Crimson II it will be worth getting.
I just can't get over the vocals on the start of aftermath, they're so beautiful. Like I always say the best vocal lines use a very small vocal range. Not these huge sweeping highs and lows alot of singers seem to do just to prove they can do it.
man the orginal crimson is amazn 40 mins long though haha but if you pick the best bits out n cover it or even in do it in parts thatd be redicuosly awsome!!
@Sybreeder yeah man ive listened to the beginning of aftermath quite a few times cause of the perfect vocals. i wish they would sing alot more like that. i wish that symphony x would sing really pretty in more songs too like they did in paradise lost. great playing too. i like all of your covers. keep making them.
great job, can u send me tabs, I am dieing to learn this

hey, you played it pretty good, BTW how did you tune your guitar for playing the 7 string parts and also de the high strings?? hahaha
Cheers
ConfineOfShadows 3 years ago
I had no idea this was played on a 7 string...
I don't think those 5 missing semitones are used anywhere in the song though, I played it in B standard :)

hey man, how do you do your recordings? do you mic up ur cab or just use the mic on ur camera?
canadianbanananator 3 years ago
Record direct using the line 6 because I'm lazy ^^
If I want to have a good tone yeah I mic up the cab with an SM57 into an Maudio pro preamp...but none of those recordings are up on here.
Sybreeder 3 years ago
just going into pro tools? and just curious where u mic ur cab :)
