The interview is reading off a list. He's not interacting with Shatner or playing off him, nor is he fielding his questions in questions. "Tell me about the character." That's not a question. That's a demand.
(continued) I don't know why Bill gets the resentment and mockery he does. Unfortunately, the best I can come up with is jealousy from frustrated non achievers or non-succeeders. Look, Bill Shatner and Ron Paul are the two hardest working men in the world. In their late 70s!!! And both put themselves out there; each could play it safe and just coast. Accordingly, each are hugely inspirational to those who have the opportunity to make a difference and contribute to the world and to history.
William Shatner is a great actor. He made Star Trek something immortal. I utterly respect his intellect and acting. This is from a fan that had been snubed too...no bias in other words.
I have to say Trekkies are the dumbest lot. Click on TVLEGENDS and see some of the other interviews and maybe that might shed some light. These aren't late night entertainment interviews, these are multi-hour records that are placed into an archive for future reference. They are not edited, very detailed and the interviewer does not try to be a part of the interview any more than to ask the question. Sorry, no models of spaceships or fuzzy pet rocks, try elsewhere for such nonsense.
Well I think he well grew tired of some of what the questions was asked at times and put some things what he had liked...I feel Willaim Shantner did a good job of all he was asked by the interviewer
Yeah the interviewer was really stiff and had no sense of humor. He clearly didn't make Shatner comfortable at all. That's a big part of what makes an interview good.
Lets face it - Shatner has probably been in dozens of episodic television episodes in the 1960's and 1970's and the actress who was his costar probably didnt have much of a career since that Twilight Zone episode was produced..
whats the story with patrica breslan???????

I first saw the interview very abrupt but later it got really detailed and very good....
I think when we start it`s bussiness then it turns into a conversation... alot better.
I wish they took a tour of old sets and talked about things that had happened i`m sure something must be still around...

Hopefully he was just tired of talking about Twilight Zone with this interviewer, but yeah.

I think he just does not remember

Seriously. He was 68 when they shot this. Cut him some slack. Let's see how well we remember something almost 40 years after the fact.
