I wanna post this to my teen group so bad. We watched this movie at Church for a teen outing thing, but I don't know how many of them really took it to heart 'cause some of 'em are like the kids in this movie, I hate to admit it, but it's true.

I live only about 2 miles from this church, I live in Oceanside, where this film took place, the beach is amazing, and my english11 teach,er Rachel Britts, was the excecutive producer and also wrote the book with her husband, and wrote the sequal with her husband: To Safe A Life: Jakes Choice Read that before everyone else because my teacher gave me a copy XD

I cant think of a single thing more important than living the life in a way that does not offend or turn people off to the love of jesus christ. I am not perfect, but when I feel I am gettin alittle conplacent on where I am with my walk... this movie slaps me in the face. I will not be settled with the mundane "Jesus lover of my soul" worship Im saved crap.... I want to live it like It is my last day. I wanna give it my all.

I have watched this movie time and time again... I am 22, from a small country town... We don't see alot of things like this... but I have had friends die in car wrecks that I wish I would have lived the life infront of them. But I didnt realize just how serious it is until it was too late. Everytime I watch this I see their faces... its like he says on here.. People are dying and your chugging soda through a sock

It aggrivates me so much how hypocritical people are! I know tons of people who say they love this movie, it was so moving, so on... But at school they judge, they put others down, and they ignore the "uncool" people. I just want to shake them!

i love this movie! but the sad thing is why do we half to watch a movie to learn about god or hear about teen suicide and take it seriously and there are a bunch of teenagers that don't care don't believe it's sad and maybe they'll never believe but i pray that one day they can find him

this movie is amazing! I love the messages entwined throughout. I think we all need to reach out to other people. God accepts us for who we are so why can't we accept other people for who they are?

It does really call us out to live our lives for God. We need to hear and let it change us. Otherwise why are we even trying?

@Sarah93656 i disagree i love the movie but if there was a god why do most of my friends have to be on happy pills or why i sit alone most days because my friends are in the mentle word because all the time we get pushed and bullied if there was a god why do the ass holes all ways win

@Hrady55 hey i get picked on too but i know that there is a god and he is always watching us he puts us through tests to see how strong our faith is, its our choice how to deal with the stuff we go through in our lives, just because we get picked on doesnt mean he isnt there, as for ur friends its their choice to do the pills they can stop and ask god to help them get off of them i can pray for them if you would like too

@DoNtMeSsWiThMyJeSuS I agree. the best thing of the movie was that it was placed in the real world. It brought in real problems teens face like drugs, swearing and sex. It didn't censor itself because the world isn't censored. I think this is the "church-friendly" version for things like youth services. I understand why the editited it, but it takes away from the original passion of the film.
