GAH it's so happy! What made the original so great was that it was depressingly real! The characters start their adventure all naively happy then learn how cruel the world is but manage to find there master too.. But still, it wasn't afraid to be honest about the world. This goody goody stuff is just so fake and corny it makes me internally bleed. >< Took this great movie that anyone could watch and turned it into a pre-school movie.

He got happy after the first movie. He was a grouch, but after their happily-ever-after he cheered up (probably because this and the Mars movie were both made who knows how many years later...so yeah, they tend to change characters in sequals).

This one was actually a good sequal/triqual (however that goes). These three worked so well together (where as most sequals end up being let-downs).
