@Psyched well manuals are kinda obsolete because new autos can get better gas mileage and can shift faster. Automatic windows are the most convenient thing in the world but paying hundreds for key-less entry and go is kinda pointless. I mean all it takes is reaching into your pocket and pressing a button. Definitely not worth the money but autos are really convenient especially for expensive cars. I like key fobs more than actual keys.

Personally, I don't care what anyone says, I love this car. I think it's good looking, well equipped, has loads of personality, and is still quite practical.

People may say it's too big to be a Mini, but to keep things in perspective, it's still about 4 inches shorter than a VW Golf. It's a very small car but has a surprisingly spacious interior.

If you are talking about the new MINI (made by BMW), the service rates are a lot like BMW rates and engines are similarly complex. The parts aren't Ferrari-expensive,but they aren't 1970 Ford LDT prices. Frequently the only source for some parts is the dealership, leaving you to pay their usually stiff markup. A classmate of mine spent 1600 for them to turn his check engine light off,and no other outside mechanic knew what was wrong.I love the car's history,but never would recommend buying one.

What originally made Mini cool and wiggy was that they were, well, mini. They seemed as individual and inscrutable as each iconoclast who owned one. They were vehicles for those who felt compelled to march to a different drummer, and who liked to choose the path less traveled by.

This thing is hardly mini. It has no personality, and little charm. It is generic. It might have some Bimmer DNA, but that's not enough to make me love it. Maybe if they made the 4-ways sound like a cuckoo clock...

I don't get BMW/Mini's Keyless entry thing.. I mean the point of it is so you don't need to take the key fob out or your pocket or purse. You can enter without the key, but you need to put in the fob to start it. Why can't they just make it like it is on Nissan, Mazda, etc..

@techdude6693 I thought I mentioned that in the video. You do NOT have to insert the key, I just did it for demonstration purposes. the car does in fact have a full keyless system as does most new BMW models.

@techdude6693 Yeah on a BMW or Mini without the keyless option, you still have to dig out they key fob to unlock and start the car but on cars with it you can of course unlock the car without pressing the key and you shouldn't have to insert the key fob to start it unless you just want to. That's how my friends 3 series convertible works. He never has to dig out the key to do anything.
