Streets of rage was just sublime in every way, the quintessential sidescroller. It just had a perfect balance between the frenetic, addictive style of arcade gameplay while still being just simplistic enough to make it easily accesible. And this soundtrack was soo well produced for 16-bit i remember noticing that immediately; it could easily substitute for parts in the game where things might feel tedious. total classic.
