Axial's RTR AX10

In my AX-10 Kit ,

I installed a 15t motor / Traxxas XL5 esc / 2cell 7.4v 1800mah Li-Po,

12t Pinion/54t Spur gears on 32pitch ..

Have now gone brushless

with a 8.5t motor / 60a ESC , 14t Pinion ,JunFac shafts , HR steel Tranny gears. . .

No doubt you can be a hardcore crawler, but if you want to race or just go fast, the shocks will need softer springs and the tire will need some give or lower profile. Class-A machine.

when you locked the front diff while using the 20 tooth pinion gear did it affect its turning radius? coz I plan to do that to mine so it could be a rock racer with more torque. Tnx in advance

That's pretty much how it is out of the box. I was running a 3 cell A123 pack in it at the time, which has a little higher voltage output then standard 6 cell stick packs though.

before i set mine up for crawling i bashed it pretty hard and it took a good beating and nothing broke..now it is setup for crawling and i LOVE it! i was gonna buy another wheely king but glad i got this truck..

axial trucks are good crawlers not for bashing

If you want a Crawler get an AX-10, they can climb like a billy goat. I have an AX10 and love it! If you want a basher truck get a Traxxas truck, they are tough as nails. The AX10 is not a good basher.

if you get a new motor it is good. the stocker is a bit fast for crawling

well teh rtr comes with 2 pinion gears a 14+ and a 20+ one for crawling the other for speed, and right now on teh market its the best u can buy for ur money only like 210 on rcpcrawlers

even with the 14 its still a tad fast. all you gotta do is buy a high turn motor to slow it down. you can get a 55t motor for less than 30 bucks
