Hi Stacey! I tried commenting on your channel but it wouldn't work so I'll just ask you here. I was wondeirng; on your modern solo, how do you do that turning switch leap? I know how to do regular switch leaps, so do you have any suggestions?

Really use your plie in your prep, and try to get as much momentum as you can on your chainee. Also,try to switch your legs quickly so you have more time to split. Let me know if that helps :)

yeah, the costume is a bit of a pain. it doesn't stretch, which makes it very hard to dance in, but it was just so pretty that I didn't want to have to find another.

I have been waiting to watch this video. You have all the emotion and technique you need, but I am just curious?.. What inspires you to dance? Right now I am currently suffereing from a back disease and unable to dance and that is juts heartbreaking for me... If i ever are able to dance again this will be my inspiration! Dance is my life.... and it was taken away from me.. just like that..

I dance because I love it, and because of the way it makes me feel on stage. I love performing, and forever will I dance for no one but myself. I dance my heart out each and everytime I step on stage so that if something unfortunate, like your back disease, were to ever happen to me- that I would feel content that I made the most of my passion while I could. I'm really sorry to hear about that, but I hope that some day you will dance again.

and i have a question about the story you're trying to portray with your dance; are you trying to be someone that's thinking about their dreams or something like that?

you like, swaying side to side and the costume says that to me :)

Yeah, I wore jazz shoes. I can turn more consistently in them.

But for the story, you can interpret it however you want. For me, in the beginning its more like happiness representing the good times I spent with the person, and sadness showing the fact that I'm upset that they're leaving my life. In the end, I realized that everything would be okay and that this was the way things were meant to be. It's more personal, but that's the basic concept.
