You folks don't get it..Obama is a cousin to a multi billion individual in America and has been brought forward by the very super rich folks in America to try and bring back America's reputation to the world. It is true Obama is a very smart indivdual and thats what the rich folks in America wants. The rich folks in Americajust want Bush to be out since he is the one that created a mess and to help bring back the Americans reputation to the world they need Obama not a cowboy
ohhh man...everyone in the world is following this. Up here in Canada, people are really concerned. If Obama doesn't make it into the Whitehouse, a lot of people all around the world will smack their heads on the wall. While Americans may not be that familiar in general with the going ons of the world, everyone in the world is familiar of whats going on the US. Like it or not, if the US goes down, the world will follow too.
Point raised & agreed with..when the U.S suffers so too does the rest of the world, at the very least from an economic standpoint. thats just the nature of the global economy, dont forget that the U.S are the largest consumers and importers on the planet so a lot of economies depend on them. I disagree that the world would be completly "fucked" so to speak, without them though. Emerging markets Russia, Brazil, China, India are set to replace them as economic powerhouses, but we'll see i guess...
I agree with you on that emerging markets the new economic powerhouses. However, we are 10-20 years away from them being dominant. I believe that in time, there won't be one global economic super power, but several smaller economic superpower, so that the global financial and trade system will be supported by these several economies. Even Europe under the EU banner will be a somewhat competitive market. It really is too dangerous to have one market be the dominant force in global economy.
Because of globalization and how well the world's financial markets are tied into the US economy, if there is mismanagement of that economy, the world suffers, if you can't see that, you have not been paying attention to the news.
Yes, I can see it just fine, and I have been paying attention. Which is why I'm sick to fucking death of hearing it and especially being compared to those stupid, stupid, people...Just because we're all fucked by/because of them doesn't mean we ARE them...
I like what you said at the end about us all being American's. I think that this election will affect the entire world and that as a global community, there is so much at stake for everyone whether they are in the US or not.
I'm glad Politico asked you to comment. Of course we are interested in what you have to say about these things! That goes without question! You have become something of an icon on YouTube signifying its potential to bring people together across great distances. It makes sense, therefore, for Politico to ask you to comment just as they would any of the other YouTube icons who also have a political side to them.
Khaya, it is great to hear your perspective on these topics. Those who criticize your insights are all-too-happy when your comments seem to reflect their own point of view (such as criticizing African Americans for referring to themselves as "African" and talking about slavery).
They only say you have "no right to comment" when you disagree with them, like on the question of John McCain.
Their problem with your "right" to comment depends on whether or not they like what you say.
Khaya, that was what struck me about the debate too. I think this was Obama's best debate performance by far.
In contrast, McCain's "answer" to almost every question that he would go into the White House as a "maverick" and put everything back in order. He gave no clear answers to complex questions.
Also, McCain's contempt for Obama was quite clear during this debate. He shows him to be an ill-tempered and out-of-touch person who is hardly suited for bring the country together.
YES... Khaya, I didn't see the no shaking hand part but I did hear the "that one" comment.. very rude, it definitely showed John McCain character I was very surprised by it. Sen. Obama was clear, accurate and to the point, on top of of it. He sounds like a man with a clear cut vision on how to improve our country, that is the reason he connects with ppl in this country and around the world so well. Sen. Obama is what I am sure many people will use as a barometer to judge their own leaders!
I am SO GLAD someone else noticed that he refused to shake Obama's hand at the end! No one else seemed to mention it, and I thought it was a HUGE indicator of his character or lack thereof.
You Idiot! you comments are about as insightful as the debate, Obama have all his FP opposite to McCain's and McCain is saying all the same about Obama they have no personal stand point or any real change.
all they do is oppose each other, Tell me khaya, Apart from this election campaign how many have you followed actively? Cause if you know your politics and your FP, then you would know its all the same for the last, They not bringing any change. Try being more worldly and up to date! Educate!
You should try going back as far as elementary school to grasp the concept of grammar before you ever have the audacity again to suggest that anyone should go educate themselves.
I will have the audacity to say and do as I please, After all god bless free America! And as Khaya said " we all are Americans "
I don't even think you have given a rats ass about elections before Obama, So don't give one now, since it's not based on facts but the same as why the ANC is still in power.
Have you your self ever left America? probably not so I tell you what, Brush up on what goes on around the world then you will see how Foreign policy really works, ie Obama and MCcain clueless!
Obama strong on foreign policy, you have got to be kidding.....which debate were you watching again ? As for the debate it was just down right aweful and boring. Brokaw did a very big disservice to the country picking the questions that he did to have asked. For 90 mins we heard nothing from both that we havent heard a 1000 times everyday on the campaign trail.Pretty sad actaully we had a chance to hear from the real people ( Town Hall setting ) and we got the same lame questions.
I don't think Obama being strong on F-policy is as good a thing as it seems. The problem is that the foreign policy is gonna be the downfall of the states, they constantly wage wars against poorer nations, thats teh thing that needs to be changed the most, and the thing is Obama is just trying to cater to the public by seeming to be aggressive and all that. USA needs to change the foreign policy sooner rather than later. Maximum respect everybody lol.
It bothers me that Politico is asking you for your take on the debate. What special perspective do you have other than the fact that you are not American? The fact that you are black? Is Politico asking other people form other parts of the world for their opinion too? I wonder if this is a sign of what to expect form 4 years of Obama?
Did he refuse to shake his hand? At one point I thought Obama went to shake McCains hand and McCain gave Obama his wives hand to shake. They have shaken hands before so I doubt it was a case of intentional rudeness more of "we have shaken hands already to night, here is the hand of someone you haven't"
"That one" isn't really insulting in my opinion because a logical comment that would stem from that would be "that one likes ----, this one like -----" so McCain was calling himself "this one".
Well this totally blows. My naughty vids got removed again.
I am a genius though.
See my name, well click on it now!

It's true, we in Germany are so very intertwined with the US as well. So one could say that: It is "our" election too, to a certain extent...
We buy their stuff and sell them our cars etc. We help fight their wars and suffer with them through this(and every) economic crisis.
If the USA fucks up, we're fucked too..
So I'm genuinely interested as well and will continue to follow this election.
