Just want to share that this looks like the airplanes thats coming in for a landing at O'Hare Intl Airport when viewed at night and from a distance. But once it gets closer, the flashing lights gets readily seen. You were filming under heavy clouds conditions, this makes the falshing light a little more hard to see. Even the very bright lights at certains times of your video was being obscured by the clouds.

I was camping in the Smoky Cap National park at South West Rocks last week and watched a light that I thought was a military plane but had the constant light of a bright star. It was out over the ocean.

It was moving in a very erratic way for approx. 1hr45mins.

It then came to rest in the sky and looked just like a star.

I have seen plenty of satelites before and meteors but this was nothing like I have ever seen and I suppose it is in the category of a U.F.O.

I was on my back balcony last week taking in the laundry late at night because I was out earlier that evening and I looked up and saw exactly what you filmed in this video. It was an orb that moved very quickly and then disappeared. What struck me was that the orb was so high in the sky. no plane could go that high and it was not a shooting star and it disappeared so it was not a sattelite.

True, planes do go high enough in the sky but this was a large round light, very high in the sky. A plane that high would not be visible in that way. I have seen planes high up but they don't halt in mid air , move a couple of hundred feet and then disappear.

Depending on cloud cover, a plane may or may not be visible. A U-2 jet can attain 70,000 feet. Sattelites and the ISS are beyond the stratosphere. Using a site I found the ISS did indeed make a transit at about 8:00 to 8:15pm on Jan 26, I used Melbourne for the location but it would have been viewable by a much larger area. Hey keep your batteries charged ;)

You captured a great video... of Venus. Note that the object is not moving, only the clouds and the camera. If you were a better videographer this would be obvious. We have written a training manual to help people make better videos. Too bad you didnt read it before taking this. It turns out that Venus is the most common UFO caught on tape by amateurs. You're right in that it appears to be moving, but in a high wind that would be because the object is stationary and the clouds are moving - making it look like they are moving relative to each other.

I'd love to see some clear, in focus, well lit, steadicam / tripod shot video that is zoomed in close enough to show some actual details on these UFOs. I want to see antennae, rockets, hatches, and other detail that can help us rule out Earth based objects and stars / planets.

So it's a light that moves very slowly high up in the sky. You've filmed in high wind, as you can hear on the recording, so no wonder you didn't hear an engine noise. I'm going to guess it's the moon, Jupiter, or light reflecting off a high altitude balloon, the sort that is silver.
